US Midterms Elections: Democrats flip South Carolina senate seat after historic upset

Democrat Annie Andrews has defeated Republican Darline Graham in South Carolina's Senate race, flipping a seat held by Republicans for decades. The victory marks the first Democratic Senate win in the state since 1998 and deals a major blow to Republican hopes of retaining control of the chamber. Andrews' win adds to Democratic gains in the 2026 US midterm elections.
