Data Shows Longest Manufacturing Slump in China Since 2019

China’s factory activity remained in contraction for a sixth straight month in september, the longest slump since 2019. The official manufacturing pmi came in at 49.8, a slight improvement from august, but still below the 50-mark that separates growth from contraction.
