<p>A tragedy struck an unfortunate Italian man as he was crushed to death under thousands of huge wheels of cheese. Each wheel of this cheese weighed about 40 kg each, The Guardian reported citing firefighters.</p>

<p>Giacomo Chiapparini, 77, was buried under the giant cheese wheels after a shelf broke in his warehouse. The warehouse was in the northern Lombardy region. The unfortunate incident took place on Sunday (August 8). When the warehouse shelf broke, it created the a domino effect. As a result, thousands of wheels came down on Chiapparini, according to firefighter Antonio Dusi who was speaking with AFP. &nbsp;</p>

<p>It has been reported that rescuers "had to move the cheeses and the shelves by hand"</p>

<p>It took "12 hours" to find Chiapparini who was buried under all that cheese.</p>

<p>The warehouse is located in a small town of Romano di Lombardia near Bergamo. The warehouse contained 25,000 wheels of grana padano. It a type of hard cheese that resembles parmesan and is very popular in Italy.</p>

<p>When the tragedy struck, Chiapparini was checking the ripening wheels. These cheese wheels were stored on metal shelves. The highest of these shelves stood at 10 metres (33 feet).</p>

<p>Bortolo Ghislotti, a friend and neighbour of Chiapparini, told NBC that Chiapparini and his son Tiziano (50) went to the cheese warehouse after getting alarm signal from a machine that &nbsp;that cleans the cheese wheels from the mold.</p>

<p>“These machines clean and rotate the wheels, so when they find them even slightly out of place, they send a warning,” Ghislotti said. “It’s a common problem. So Giacomo and his son went there to adjust the wheels.”</p>

<p>Ghislotti said after the father-son duo fixed the problem, the son left the warehouse. After that, Chiapparini re-started the machine. It has been reported that everything fell on him just seconds later.</p>

<p>“Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?” Zuckerberg replied to Musk on Threads.</p>

<p>Zuckerberg may have been referring to the dodgy quality of live streams on X, which even Musk has mentioned needs upgrading. Last week, Musk did a 53-second impromptu live to see if there had been improvements in the live streaming since he first raised the issue.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Regarding the fight, the Meta boss said he was prepared to enter the ring any day, but Musk had not agreed to the dates up until now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I’m read today,” Zuckerberg said on Threads. “I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”</p>

<p>He continued, “I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here.”</p>

India: ‘Dead’ BJP leader comes back to life, seeing quick recovery

<p>A man was rescued Saturday after being stuck on a partially submerged boat in the Atlantic Ocean for around 35 hours, around 12 miles off Florida's coast.<br />

On Friday (August 4), Charles Gregory left for an early morning fishing trip off the coast of St Augustine, Florida. However, the tide rose quicker than he estimated, as waves slammed his 12-foot jon boat – a flat-bottomed and lightweight vessel – and he was knocked into the water.</p>

The 25-year-old man “struggled to stay alive” for almost two days under Florida's brutal sun as he clinched to his partially submerged boat. During his two-day struggle for survival, the man not only spotted sharks but also suffered jellyfish stings, said his father Raymond Gregory while speaking to CNN on Sunday (August 6).</p>

He’s in a life-threatening condition and there are fears he could die. If he survives, he’ll have been very lucky,” a source said.<br />

“Police are investigating an incident which took place on Saturday at HMP Wakefield. We are unable to comment further while the police investigate,” said a Prison Service spokesperson.</p>

Watkins was sentenced to 29 years of imprisonment in December 2013 with a further six years on licence, after he admitted a list of sex offences, which included the attempted rape of a fan’s baby.<br />
<br />
The disgraced singer was arrested after his Pontypridd home was raided post-issuance of drugs warrant on 21 September 2012 when various computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.</p>

<p>In the hearings, the court was informed about how he plotted to abuse two babies by their own mothers in text and internet messages in which he talked about his desire to “cross the line” and his wish to intoxicate a young victim by blowing crystal meth smoke into the face of the child.<br />

The judge also hear the details of the sickening 17-minute video which was shot in a hotel room in London and in which Watkins was seen performing a sex act on a child.</p>

"The pool had to be emptied twice a day because the water was so murky. People were chucking their drugs in the pool and there was absolutely no security. When doing our research, no holiday provider described it as a 'party hotel' - but it was,” he said while speaking to the BBC.<br />

"It turned into a 100% car crash holiday,” Stevens added. He said that when he tried discussing the issues with the hotel manager, he replied, "People die every day."</p>

<p>"We weren't taken seriously and weren't even taken to a private area to talk about our complaints. TUI offered to move us to another hotel but we had heard from other guests that it was just as bad," Stevens said.<br />

The couple had to spend their 17-day holiday by a "quieter" pool with other guests, who are older in age, however, they did not enjoy the "Dominican vibe" and just had to "grin and bear it".</p>

<p>Talking to Live Science, James Moskito, CEO of the California-based ocean tour operator Ocean Safaris, who captured the video during an expedition to the Gulf of California, said: "The killer whales start coming in and next I know they're biting the bottom of it (the victim shark)".</p>

<p>"It's literally over in a matter of seconds," remarks Moskito, adding, "They came in, they bit the bottom of the whale shark. Looks like they slurped in the liver and then the whale shark just fell and descended down, with no movement — I'm assuming it was dead."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Golferini has filed a complaint against all 17 tourists, who have since departed from Italy. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident based on the surveillance footage.</p>

An Indian student, studying in Canada was trolled and criticised for her 'dream to leave India' remark. The video went viral on Sunday (July 30).</p>

<p>In the viral video, the student introduced herself as Ekta. She was asked 'what brought her to Canada'. In the video, Ekta can be heard saying that it was her 'dream to leave India'. The reply didn't go down well with many social media users on 'X', the renamed platform of good ol' Twitter.</p>

<p>'Brain drain' is something that is scoffed at in India. Highly qualified youngsters sometimes choose to seek employment in western countries after studying in elite institutes in India like India Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management and so on. Those who profess their opposition to 'brain drain' say that these students take benefits of considerable subsidies on their education but create wealth for foreign companies and nations by working and settling there.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At the same time, those studying in institutes in India and abroad say that their hard work and merit has earned them admission to these prestigious institutions and it's a matter of personal choice which country they choose to settle in.</p>

<p>Ekta's video elicited reactions on similar lines. She was criticised based on perception that she was trying to show India in poor light and was encouraging leaving home country.</p>

<p>But Ekta got support from unexpected quarters when none other than the CEO of Truecaller rallied behind her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"People really want to misunderstand her to make fun of her. This is not OK!! Ekta, don't listen to all these clowns making fun of you. I think you're cool and living the dream! When you're done with school, you're welcome to work at Truecaller in any of our offices around the globe," read the post by Alan Mamedi, CEO of Truecaller.</p>
