<p>A pair of missing scissors led to the cancellation of 36 flights and a delay in another 201 flights at a Japanese airport over the weekend (Aug 17-18).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The domestic terminal at Hokkaido’s New Chitose Airport came to a standstill when flights were suspended for about two hours on Saturday morning during security checks. A pair of scissors went mission in a stone near the boarding gates, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at the airport.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The passengers were all clogged up in queues in the departure lounge as they were forced to retake security checks in order for the security authorities to locate the scissors.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Passengers who had already passed through security were required to undergo the screening process again, leading to confusion and flight delays.</p>

<p>In total, 201 flights were delayed, and 36 were cancelled due to the security lapse. Despite an extensive search, the scissors were not found, and normal operations resumed approximately two hours later.</p>

He said that his priority was to control the incident and it should not escalate further. The rapper thanked people for staying calm. He also mentioned that the rescue workers were very quick in their work and managed to control the situation before it could get out of control.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Around 10 pm on Saturday, when everything was under control, the organisers reported that the Ferris wheel had closed and they resumed the performances on stage to continue further. They asked people to look after each other at the music festival and enjoy the shows.&nbsp;<br />

<p>The SP Singla construction company has been given the contract to build the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge, which has sunk for the third time. A total of Rs. 1717 crore has been spent&nbsp;on the construction of the bridge, which has been in the works&nbsp;for nine&nbsp;years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I must tell one thing, the entire structure of the under-construction bridge, which is faulty, is supposed to be dismantled by the contractor. The construction work has already stopped there. The contractor is dismantling the structure at the direction of the Patna High Court," Pandey&nbsp;said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The project aimed to connect the Bhagalpur and Khagaria districts. However, the bridge collapsed for the third time raising safety concerns. The incident has also reportedly prompted calls for a proper analysis of the construction process.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The collapse took place amid the ongoing floods in the river Ganga which had caused a pause in the construction work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The construction work for the bridge began in 2014 and it has failed to meet its deadline eight times. The recurrent failures of the bridge have also raised calls for an investigation to find out the root cause of the collapses.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Following the collapse, Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Jitan Ram Manjhi said, "An investigation should be conducted to identify where the lapses occurred that have led to not just one, but several bridge collapses. Those responsible must be held accountable. Why are so many bridges collapsing this year? Could there be a political conspiracy behind it?"</p>

<p>This bridge was envisioned as a major infrastructural project by Bihar&nbsp;Chief Minister Nitish Kumar but has repeatedly collapsed and been&nbsp;under construction for a long time.</p>
