A CCTV video showingthree Delhi Traffic Police officers dividing the bribe money they took from a man hasgone viral.
In the viral video, one policeman is seen arguing witha man at the police check post in Gazipur near Trill Lauri Circle. After a small conversation, the policeman signalled the man to put a bundle of money on a table.
The video further shows the officer countingthe money once the man leaves. The video then cuts to three policemen sitting together and dividing the cash among them. The other two policemen were spotted smiling as they received their share of the bribe.

Allegations: A bribery racket was exposed at the Gazipur police station, where traffic police officers had set up a makeshift structure to extort money from people.

After the video went viral, Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena took to X and said that one head constable and two Assistant Sub-Inspectorshad been suspended.

The L-G said, "Taking cognizance of this post, after preliminary investigation, the above 3 policemen have been suspended and a comprehensive departmental inquiry is being conducted against them."

Similar case of Delhi Traffic Police
A similar case happened in July this year when a video of a traffic police officer went viral for fining a South Korean boy ₹5,000 for a traffic violation without providing an official receipt. The constable Mahesh Chand was seen taking the money in cash from the Korean boy and not providingany receipt for the money he took.
The entire incident was captured by a dashboard camera, and the video went viral on multiple social media platforms. The constable Mahesh Chand got suspended.
