Bengaluru-based tech intern leaves internship after securing funding for startup

A Bengaluru-based tech intern left his internship in the middle after securing funding for his own startup

A Bengaluru-based intern put everyone in a state of shock by leaving the internship in the middle, as he secured funding for his own artificial intelligence startup.

Reason for quitting internship

Karthik Sridharan, the CEO of Flexiple, shared the screenshots of the conversation he had with the intern on the X platform.

This is how the conversation goes: “Hey, what happened to you last Friday? I didn’t see you in the office," questioned Sridharan.

The intern responded with, “Hey, sorry I took a leave because I had a meeting with a VC. My AI startup got funded. I don’t need the internship anymore.”

Sridharan posted this with the caption, “This only happens in Bangalore.”

The comments were filled with people appreciating the bizarre moments that can only be observed in Bengaluru.

One of the X users wrote, “It looks like there are more AI startups in Bangalore than women on Bumble.”

The second user said, “Wow, literally yes, only in Bangalore.”

A third user, criticising the way the information was communicated, said, “No matter how young/inexperienced someone is, basic communication skills and respect for others are needed.”

The fourth user, commenting on the mode of communication of the intern, said, “I think this is disrespectful to some extent but understandable.”
