<p>On Wednesday (Oct 9), Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of one of India's biggest conglomerates, Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86. The news of his health deteriorating had been doing the rounds for a few days. He was admitted to the intensive care of the Breach Candy&nbsp;Hospital in Mumbai early in the evening before the legend passed away.</p>

<p>N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Group, said in a statement, "It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation."</p>

<p>"On behalf of the entire Tata family, I extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold the principles he so passionately championed," he added.</p>

<p>Ratan Tata's passing away led to reactions pouring in from all corners. The Indian sporting fraternity&nbsp;also joined in with&nbsp;senior men's cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Shubman Gill, javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra, Venkatesh Prasad and Saina Nehwal reacting to the demise.</p>

Pandya took 1/26 in four overs and scored a blistering 39 not out off just 16 balls as India won the game by seven wickets.</p>

<p>In reply, Pant also put his case forward and said: "Nobody plans and do it. But I don't like it when someone does it, so I sledge politely. They were saying things like 'Big MS is here, 'Come and play T20 cricket in Hobart, you'll get a good apartment, babysit my kids'. I also said a few things."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Recently, Australia T20I skipper Mitchell Marsh said that he wished for India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant to be Australian. The statement comes in build up to the upcoming five-Test Border-Gavaskar series which is set to kick off from November 22 in Australia.</p>

<p>“He's a ripping bloke. I wish he was Australian. He's obviously been through a lot over the last few years, and it's been a hell of a comeback. He's a positive guy, still really young, and he loves winning. He's highly competitive for someone who has the persona of being relaxed and always laughing and smiling. He's got that big smile,” Marsh said in a conversation with Star Sports.</p>

<p>Pant has played seven Tests in Australia, scoring 624 runs in 12 innings at an average of 62.40 and a highest of 159 not out. He has also scored two fifties and a hundred.</p>

<p>Pant was the star on India's last tour of Australia, where he scored 97 in Sydney to help India draw the Test before hitting 89 not out in last Test in Brisbane to help India clinch the Test and the series.</p>
