A day after the FBI concludes Jeffrey Epstein was not murdered, closing the long-standing case, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (July 8) tried to dodge questions on Epstein during a Cabinet meeting at the White House as he furiously blasted when reporters asked questions related to his case.During the cabinet meeting, a reporter asked questions about Epstein to Attorney General Pam Bondi. As Bondi was just about to answer the question, Trump jumped in.He furiously said that this guy (Jeffrey Epstein) has been talked about for years, asking, "Are you still talking about Jeffery Epstein?”Trump did not hesitate to call him a "creep", saying that we have so much to discuss, why are people still talking about him?“We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things, and are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable,” the president continued.“Do you want to waste the time, and you feel like answering?” he asked Bondi who confirmed she would answer.Trump said that it seems like a "desecration", saying that it's hard to believe that you are asking questions about him when so much else is happening.“I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,” he said. However, Trump did not realise that some of his biggest supporters are among those people who are still pushing for answers about Epstein.Earlier on Monday, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation concluded that no evidence supported sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in jail. During the probe, the investigators also found that there was no secret “client list” tied to him or that he blackmailed powerful figures or kept a roster of high-profile clients for illicit purposes, Axios reported. This marks the first time the Trump administration has formally challenged conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s death and activities, narratives previously amplified by the FBI’s top officials before Trump appointed them.

That is unbelievable,” the president continued. “Do you want to waste the time, and you feel like answering?” he asked Bondi who confirmed she would answer. Trump said that it seems like a "desecration", saying that it's hard to believe that you are asking questions about him when so much else is happening. “I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,” he said. However, Trump did not realise that some of his biggest supporters are among those people who are still pushing for answers about Epstein. Earlier on Monday, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation concluded that no evidence supported sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in jail.

China on Monday (Jul 7) said that the BRICS is not seeking “confrontation”. This comes in response to the threats made by US President Donald Trump to impose an additional 10 per cent tariffs on countries aligning with the bloc’s “anti-America” policies. In a series of posts, Musk explained how the tax and spending bill will increase the national debt in America. He also claimed that both the political parties - Republicans and Democrats - are just two parties with different names, and neither has done anything to decrease the national debt.Last month, Trump and Musk engaged in a public fallout over their disagreements on the bill.Calling the bill "insane", Musk posted, "If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”He added, "Anyone who campaigned on the PROMISE of REDUCING SPENDING, but continues to vote on the BIGGEST DEBT ceiling increase in HISTORY will see their face on this poster in the primary next year."Musk also announced in his post on X, that every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for this bill would “lose their primary next year.”Earlier today, Trump celebrated the victory of the bill passing in the US House and Senate, at a rally called ‘America250’ at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. However, as claimed by Musk, the bill could raise the national debt ceiling in the United States, adding $2.4 to $3 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.

Elon Musk, a close former buddy of Trump, added a poll on X, along with his post, asking, "Should we create the America Party?" as he hints at launching a third political party on Independence Day.

Elon Musk once again floats the idea of launching a third party in the US on its Independence Day amid the ongoing feud with US President Donald Trump over 'Big, Beautiful Bill' which was passed in the US House on Wednesday and is now awaiting Trump's signature. Tech giant and 'ex-close buddy' of Trump took to X, saying, "Independence Day is the perfect time to ask if you want independence from the two-party (some would say uniparty) system!" He further added a poll on X, along with his post, asking, "Should we create the America Party?" He was hinting at a third party, noting Republican and Democratic parties.

As Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the New York Democrat and minority leader crossed eight hours of a marathon speech on Thursday (July 3), he invoked a rarely used House procedure, known as "magic minute". Jeffries spoke for so long to protest against President Donald Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" and delay the House voting. He even began his speech by saying that he was "planning to take my sweet time” with his speech. Allotted 60 seconds, Jeffries was making use of his prerogative as a leader to stretch his allotted time, and took far longer than that, in a house tradition "magic minute".The democratic leader started his speech at 4: 53 am ET and is still on with his speech, making it one of the longest in recent history. However, not much people are currently present in the chamber now, hence Jeffries is mostly addressing the empty chamber, but is still being cheered by the Democrats.
What is 'magic minute'?
The "magic minute", an informal House rule and a tradition that allows House leaders to speak for as long as they want after a floor debate concludes. This permits the House leader to turn their seconds of speech into a longer period of time. However, it still remains unclear for how long Jeffries is planning to speak. If he wants to break the record created by former Rep. Kevin McCarthy, he needs to speak beyond 1:26 pm ET.In 2021, Kevin, then House Republican leader, spoke for a record-setting eight hours and 32 minutes as he was protesting Joe Biden's signature domestic policy legislation. However, it still passed when he ceded the floor.Trump has earlier said that he wants to sign the bill by July 4. However, Jeffries has no chance of stopping the bill even if he delays the voting.US House Speaker Mike Johnson was likely to address the chamber once Jeffries' speech ends. However, Johnson also has unlimited time, but earlier, he told reporters that he expected his speech would be shorter than Jeffries.

Donald Trump has been in the eye of a storm that's engulfed the US political landscape. At the centre of this controversy is the fading line between Trump's crypto push and his own profits. In the latest, Trump Media is reportedly in talks to raise $3 billion to invest in cryptocurrency. The funding plan includes $2 billion in equity and a $1 billion bond. This follows a closed-door dinner hosted by Trump in the White House for his investor 'friends.' The exclusive event featured Filet Mignon, Halibut, and a half-hour speech from President, capped off with a brief dance to ÝMCA. But why are analysts and lawmakers not dancing with Trump? Probably fearing a conflict of interest. Trump had advocated pro-crypto stance during his campaign before becoming president, claiming to make US, the çrypto capital of the world.' But his company ventures are now accused of profiting from this crypto push. Trump's family controls billions in $TRUMP tokens and holds top positions in World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm branding him as 'Chief crypto advocate.' Despite claims of a blind trust, ethics experts warn of blurred lines between public office and personal profit. Gifts or strategic leverage? The crypto expansion comes alongside multiple property deals in West Asia and luxury gifts, including a $400 million jet from Qatar, drawing bipartisan criticism. Senator Elizabeth Warren slammed Trump's recent crypto moves, warning of hidden corruption at play. 'Um, Donald Trump's dinner is a, is a, an orgy of corruption. That's what this is all about. We are here today to talk about exactly one topic, corruption. Corruption in its ugliest form. Donald Trump is using the presidency of the United States to make himself richer through crypto and he's doing it right out there in plain sight,' she said during a press conference. Meanwhile, the White House maintains it has no role in the Trump family's private financial dealings.

US President Donald Trump once used the "N-word", while discussing the India-Pakistan conflict, calling it a "very nasty word", during his interview with Fox News interviewer Bret Baier.
While discussing the conflict, Trump again tried to take the credit for mediating the conflict between India and Pakistan, which India has repeatedly denied, stressing that it was done bilaterally.
The US president described the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan with his odd choice of words, adding that it was getting deeper and more.
“They were angry, and the next phase was probably—did you see where it was getting? It was tit-for-tat. It was getting deeper and more, I mean, more missiles. Everyone was stronger, stronger, to a point where the next ones are going to be you know what: the n-word,” Trump said.

Moral Dichotomy of the USA

The moral dichotomy of the United States has baffled many.
"It is American bombs and American military equipment which is being used to destroy Gaza", said Bernie Sanders, US senator from Vermont.
It is to be noted that earlier in April, the United States approved the sale of $8.8 billion worth of military aid to Israel. In 2024, only the United States provided $18 billion in military aid to Israel.
On one hand, the United States is consistently arming Israel, on the other hand, it is pretending to be a well-wisher for Gaza among Arab nations. According to one UN official, Israel has "weaponised aid".
Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has asked the United States to start distributing "secure aid" to the Gaza Strip. Israel will facilitate the distribution, and it will be funded by the United States.

As Trump started his harsh policies against what he calls "aliens", the US president said that he would launch a "self-deportation" programme, offering money and air tickets to undocumented immigrants who voluntarily leave the US. In an attempt to encourage undocumented immigrants to leave America, Trump during an interview with Fox Noticias, incentivised 'Leave America', by offering them money in return. Earlier in 2024, Trump hit out at Taylor Swift over her endorsement of then Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" It comes days after Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential elections, in an Instagram post.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” the popstar added at the time.

He further slammed Springsteen for supporting former President Joe Biden, as Trump called him "Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President."
"I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States. Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country," Trump said in his post.

Trump further slammed the singer, saying, "This dried out “prune” of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just “standard fare.” Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!"
