The Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) has reportedly informed all the police commissioners, district police and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to provide “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan with immediate effect”. 
 
The decision was taken after a recent high-power committee meeting in which threats and security to the actor were reviewed, they said. 
 
Under the Y+ category, Khan will be given 11 security personnel, including six commandos, four police personnel and a traffic clearance vehicle. The policemen would be posted at his bungalow Mannat.&nbsp;

Threats over song, film release&nbsp; 
 
Khan's January release Pathaan courted controversy especially when the song Besharam Rang was released. Certain Hindu right-wing groups had raised objections to the song and Deepika Padukone's outfits in the song. Paramhans Acharya, an Ayodhya-based seer, had allegedly issued death threats to the actor. 
 
Then in August this year, security was stepped up outside the actor’s bungalow following protests against celebrities endorsing online gaming apps, stressing that such endorsements misguide and corrupt the younger generation.

This isn't the first time that Khan's security cover has been steeped up. In 2010, the actor received threats during the release of My&nbsp;Name is Khan and his security had to be increased. 
 
Last year, security was scaled up to the Y+ category for Bollywood star Salman Khan after he allegedly received threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

On day 25, Sunday (Oct 1), the film earned impressive numbers as it earned Rs 8.80 crore (Rs 88 Million) in the domestic market, taking the total numbers of the film from Rs 595.45 crore (Rs&nbsp;5.9 billion)&nbsp;to Rs 604.25 crore (Rs 6.0 billion).&nbsp;

As per Sachnilk, in the first week, SRK's film grossed around Rs 389.88 crore (Rs 3.8 billion). In its second week, the film saw a slight dip in numbers as it minted Rs 136.1 crore (Rs 1.3 billion). The film closed the third week with Rs 55.92 crore (Rs 5.5 million).

Jawan has taken the box office by storm, setting new benchmarks in the Indian film industry. The film became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in the history of Indian cinema, dethroning SRK's Pathaan.

Last week, the film grossed over Rs 1000 crore (Rs 10 billion) at the worldwide box office.

"Vijay sir and Shah Rukh sir, both said the same thing that 'bring a script and we will work together'. I also thought that they were saying all this for my birthday as a gift. The next day, Vijay sir messaged me saying that if you are going to write such a script, I will be a part definitely. Shah Rukh sir, who was right next to me said 'Sir, you are serious about this na? We will make a film together, right?'" he said. 
 
Atlee then added how he is really looking forward to making that project see the light of day. "So, yes, every now and then they inquire about it and ask me whether I am seriously working on it or not, or if I am taking it as a joke. So, I am definitely, seriously working on it and I am hoping for it to crack someday," said the director.

Jawan is the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Atlee. Atlee has worked with Vijay three times before, in the films Theri (2016), Mersal (2017) and Bigil (2019).

Jawan box office collection day 5: SRK thriller becomes third Hindi film to earn Rs 3 billion this year

In recent years, Bollywood's biggest star Shah Rukh Khan has stopped speaking to the press directly.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Instead, he is reaching out and speaking his mind through his cinema. In the past year, Khan has made a splashing comeback - first in&nbsp;Pathaan&nbsp;and now, eight months on, in&nbsp;Jawan.&nbsp;

Jawan is out, and like it or not, Shah Rukh Khan's politics is here to stay

If Pathaan placed Shah Rukh Khan in the top position after a series of dismal box office duds, his latest,&nbsp;Jawan, directed by Atlee, will cement his position as the king of the box office. Jawan has all the elements of a quintessential Bollywood blockbuster. Whistle-inducing dialogues and action sequences, a credible plot, woman power, foot-tapping music, a bevy of stars, and of course Khan himself. Atlee masterfully crafts a tale that showcases Shah Rukh Khan in all his glory - and if you aren't happy with one - the film offers two of them - both brawny, flexing muscles, hitting goons and charming everyone around with complete ease.&nbsp; 
 
Written by Atlee and S. Ramanagirivasan, Jawan's plot is slightly elaborate and takes a while to sit in. With multiple twists, the screenplay manages to engage you from the beginning. Some are predictable and you can call the bluff, but some, one can't foresee at all.&nbsp;

What's Jawan about? 
 
Jawan's plot takes a while to set in. It opens with a bandaged man saving a remote village, presumably in Ladakh from a bunch of invaders. The film then cuts to 30 years later when a battered, bandaged, bald madman takes a metro train in Mumbai hostage. He has his aids, a bunch of smart, stealthy women dressed in combat uniforms, well versed with hacking the system. Officer Narmada Rai (Nayanthara) is summoned to negotiate with the man, who dances to Bekarar Karke Hume and cracks dry jokes as he narrates the story of a farmer who died a few years back unable to repay his loans to the authorities. When Narmada asks what would make him free his hostages, the man states he wants Rs 4 billion&nbsp;to be transferred from billionaire and arms dealer Kaali's (Vijay Sethupathi) account&nbsp;within a few minutes.&nbsp;

The police give in to his demands, and he, along with his girls, disappears leaving all the hostages charmed. So much so that they turn hostile towards the case. Turns out the man is an IPS officer and head of a women's jail in Mumbai,&nbsp;Azaad Rathore (SRK) who has turned a bunch of inmates from the jail into vigilantes. These women have all landed in the said jail due to wrong allegations and have had a transformative life inside the jail, thanks to their captain.&nbsp;

And what motivates Azaad to stage such heists? Atlee forms an intricate story that goes back and forth in time - keeping the viewers hooked with multiple subplots.&nbsp;

All the female characters are projected as strong women who can take on a goon or two on their own and yet be maternal and soft when the time arises. Nayanthara, who makes her Bollywood debut in Jawan, plays a feisty cop who will not slow down even for a second due to familial emotions when duty calls.

While the film celebrates girl power, it presents SRK in a larger-than-life role. He is in a double role and the older character seemingly gives tribute to Rajinikanth with his walk and talk in almost every scene. The action sequences are elaborate, scenes&nbsp;that are common in action films down south - and are still new to Hindi cinema. Khan, the star of Hindi cinema for decades, eases into the south culture very well,&nbsp;perhaps due to the able direction of Atlee, and looks comfortable doing what he does on screen.

Giving SRK company and complementing him in every scene is the very talented Vijay Sethupathi who plays the antagonist. Slightly menacing, and slightly quirky (he gets some of the best lines), Sethupathi helps alleviate some of the most average scenes to another level. It's not a role that demands a lot from the talented actor but he still manages to impress you.&nbsp;

Anirudh's fresh tunes 
 
The film's music needs special mention. Composer Anirudh, who is a well-known name in Tamil cinema, makes his Bollywood debut and delivers a stellar soundtrack. Foot tapping, refreshing, and unique - Jawan music is hatke from the usual Hindi films. Dialogues by Sumit Arora draw in the claps in the theatre and camerawork by&nbsp;GK Vishnu also impresses.&nbsp;

The flaws in Jawan 
 
The elaborate fight sequences, some of the scenes, and plot points require a certain suspension of disbelief but Jawan tackles pertinent societal issues in a very commercial setup and manages to throw in entertainment and thrill in between a serious narrative.&nbsp; 
 
I did have a problem with the graphic content in the film. There are too many scenes that show death in grave detail and even disclaimers do not help. From suicide to capital punishment to death due to food poisoning - everything is shown elaborately. I wish the maker had toned it down. The screenplay also uses children to force out emotions from the viewers. You know certain scenes were written keeping in mind to make the viewers tear up.&nbsp; 
 
I would still place Jawan above Pathaan. Yes, you read that right. Jawan is far more coherent, takes up a few causes and delivers a message or two while entertaining with Khan in a double role.&nbsp; 
 
SRK and Atlee take on the system in Jawan but they take a very complicated route to send out the message. The course is 2 hours 49 minutes long with multiple, elaborate action sequences. It's a tad bit long but still a very thrilling ride. Watch out for the climax sequence, and Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone's cameos.&nbsp;

Even as several cinema halls across cities screened the film in the early hours of the day, Jawan also fell prey to piracy. Just a few hours after the film was released in theatres, it leaked online.

The film has been made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. &nbsp;Certain sections on social media have been demanding a boycott of the film, a day before its theatrical release, mainly due to the involvement of Udhayanidhi Stalin. Stalin is a renowned film producer and Tamil Nadu state minister. He is backing the film in Tamil Nadu and is reportedly one of the main distributors of the film in the region.&nbsp; 
 
A few days back, the minister sparked outrage with a controversial statement comparing Sanatan Dharma to mosquitoes and dengue. This comment led to a significant backlash, and the producer-politician stated that he was not afraid of any legal action.

The comment did not go down well with many and BJP, the ruling party at the centre, came down heavily on him.&nbsp; 
 
Udhayanidhi Stalin is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and grandson of former Tamil Nadu CM M. Karunanidhi. They are part of the political party DMK.&nbsp; 
 
In response to the legal threats and the growing controversy, Udhayanidhi Stalin had declared, “Bring it on. I am ready to face any legal challenge. We will not be cowed down by such usual saffron threats. We, the followers of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar, would fight forever to uphold social justice and establish an egalitarian society under the able guidance of our Hon’ble CM @mkstalin. I will say it today, tomorrow, and forever: Our resolve to stop Sanathana Dharma from the Dravidian land would not reduce even a bit.”

Shah Rukh Khan, often lovingly referred to as the King of Bollywood, has always been known for his charismatic personality and wit. Turns out the actor, whose last release Pathaan was a stupendous success, was always very good with his words. Proof of this can be seen in an old handwritten essay by him during his college days when he used to live in Delhi with his family.&nbsp; 
 
The essay has taken social media by storm, showcasing the superstar's charm even before he graced the silver screen. 
 
The viral essay by SRK offers an intimate look into the actor's early life and personality.

The excerpt from the essay reads, "I had a very happy childhood as far as I remember. I was the second normal child born to my parents after a five-year age gap with my elder sister. My actions at the age of 5 years were those of any other kid down the block - winking at girls of the Manavsthali School, throwing flying kisses at aunts 6-7 times my age, and dancing to the tune of Chakke pe Chakka."

The actor also talks about his interest in theatre and why he chose Hansraj College for graduation as he felt the dramatics society of the college was the best.&nbsp;
