<p>Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra, who is also an active analyst of the game, believes Deepak Chahar can become the most expensive pick among Indian pacers at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Chahar was part of the CSK squad from IPL 2018 to 2021 season last year and has picked up 59 wickets in 63 matches in his IPL career so far.</p>

<p>Chahar is known for his exploits in the powerplay where he has been consistently effective throughtout his stint with CSK and has proven to be a prolific wicket-taker upfront. Chahar was reelased by CSK ahead of the mega auction as the franchise could retain only four players.</p>

<p>"There are a lot of names who are going to be available. There will be some fight for the Indian names. But I still believe that Deepak Chahar will be the most expensive; it's just a gut feel. There will be a lot of teams who will put money on him because he is a three-over powerplay bank," said Chopra in a video on his YouTube channel.</p>

<p>"He is a wicket-taker. Even if he is expensive, he will pick up wickets. He is batting alright, and is putting his case forward again and again. <p>When the IPL 2021 tournament was underway, former England captain Michael Vaughan had praised Thakur. During a conversation in the first week of October, Vaughan, while speaking to the Cricbuzz, said, "Last week I was with Lord Botham and he is a true lord. <p>"He gets the ball in his hands and makes things happen. He did it in the Test series, he did it in the IPL. The mentor of the Indian T20 team is behind the stumps. He was captaining him. <p>Vaughan on Wednesday (October 20) said that the Eoin Morgan-led side needs to find a way to maximise the first six overs if they are to win the ICC Men`s T20 World Cup.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The former England captain also said that Dawid Malan needs to get on with his innings or Jonny Bairstow should bat at number three.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The matches will be played following strict COIVD-19 measures. The BCCI has decided to do away with contact tracing devices for the UAE leg. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Chasing a mammoth target of 368, the hosts fell short despite making a strong start with a century opening partnership by Rory Burns (50) and Haseeb Hameed (63) as they were restricted by a disciplined and superb bowling attack.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Burns took two runs off Thakur to bring up his 50 but the seamer angled the next ball in and the opener could only edge it behind.</p>
