The peak of the disruption saw more than 16,000 users reporting problems with Alexa, according to&nbsp;Downdetector data. Eventually,&nbsp;the numbers later dropped down to 700.

Alexa users have flooded Twitter with posts about the intelligent personal assistant's outage, with many using the hashtag #AlexaDown.

Ukraine claims that Russian forces made "unsuccessful advances" on areas west of Bakhmut and that around 10 villages and towns in the area have so far come under Russian shelling. Reportedly, Russia has also failed in its advances on Avdiivka.

However, Denis Pushilin, the Russia-installed head of the eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region on Monday, announced that he had visited Bakhmut; a move that, as per AFP, suggests Russia has made significant gains. Pushilin published a video of the visit on Telegram.

Last week Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner, had claimed that his mercenaries had "in a legal sense" captured Bakhmut because the group had taken control of city hall. However, the Russian army had reported no such gains.&nbsp;The battle of Bakhmut as per analysts holds little strategic value but has taken on a "huge symbolic" importance.

Four people, including a child, were shot dead inside a home in Florida. As per reports, the suspect shot three victims inside a home, before getting shot down by the police, who were responding to a domestic violence report early Sunday morning.

This comes as Florida recently allowed&nbsp;residents to carry concealed guns without a permit.&nbsp;Starting July 1, Floridians who legally own a gun will be able to carry it without requiring a permit, i.e., carrying a concealed weapon in public will now no longer require any training or background checks.

Three including a child killed in Florida home shooting, assailant shot by cops

A school teacher in Florida, United States, has been fired for asking students to write their own obituaries. Jeffrey Keene, the dismissed teacher, taught psychology at Dr Phillips high school in the Orlando area. As per a Guardian report, the assignment didn't have malicious intent, rather the teacher just wanted his students to reflect on their own lives as they participate in an active shooter drill. In Florida, a state that in recent days has been plagued by mass shootings, preparations for gun attacks have become commonplace.

Keene had assigned his 11th and 12th-grade students to write their biographical obituaries. As per the 63-year-old teacher, while giving them the assignment, he told the students, "This isn't a way to upset you or anything like that."

Talking to NBC News, Keene said "It wasn't to scare them or make them feel like they were going to die, but just to help them understand what’s important in their lives and how they want to move forward with their lives and how they want to pursue things in their journey."

"If you can't talk real to them, then what's happening in this environment?" he said, adding, "in my mind, I've done nothing wrong."

Vowing to not change his teaching methods, Keene said that he hopes to find another job.

"I don't think I did anything incorrectly," Keene said. "I know hindsight is 20/20, but I honestly didn't think a 16, 17, 18-year-old would be offended or upset by talking about something we're already talking about."

However, a representative for the Orange County School District labelled the assignment "inappropriate".

Iran installs cameras in public places to identify, penalise women defying hijab laws

India's Supreme Court on Wednesday quashed the central government's ban on the telecast of the Malayalam language channel 'MediaOne', ruling that "national security claims can't be made out of thin hair." A bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud observed that the State can't impose unreasonable restrictions on the press as such an action would have chilling effects on press freedom.

The top court alleged that the State is using national security as a tool to deny citizens remedies that are provided under the law.

"National security claims cannot be made out of thin air, there must be material facts backing it," said the bench.

The bench also set aside a Kerala High Court&nbsp;order, which had upheld the Centre's ban on the channel on "security grounds."

India's apex court said that a channel's critical views on government policies cannot be termed as anti-establishment and that an independent press is necessary for a robust democracy.

It said the "press has a duty to speak truth to power and present citizens with hard facts enabling them to make choices that propel democracy in the right direction. The restriction on freedom of press compels citizens to think along the same tangent."

"Homogenised views on issues that range from socio-economic polity to political ideologies would pose great dangers to democracy," added the bench. It also said that "non-renewal of license for a channel is a restriction on the right to freedom of speech."

The top court, as per PTI, also said that the government's non-disclosure of reasons for the denial of security reasons and disclosure only to the court in sealed cover amounted to a violation of the principles of natural justice. "Sealed cover procedure cannot be introduced to cover harms that cannot be remedied by public immunity proceedings," said the bench.&nbsp;It further said courts should appoint an amicus curiae to assess the claims of confidentiality and assist the court in coming out with a reasoned order.

Even as the United States reels under the burden of copious amounts of mass shootings and deaths due to firearms, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Monday signed a bill, allowing residents to carry concealed guns without a permit. The bill as per ABC News gives the Republican a legislative victory as he prepares to run for US president next year. The governor reportedly signed the bill in a private ceremony in his ceremony.&nbsp;

Starting July 1, Floridians who legally own a gun will be able to carry it without requiring a permit. This means that training and background checks will no longer be necessary for carrying a concealed weapon in public.

DeSantis'&nbsp;office in a public comment said that "Constitutional Carry is in the books."

Addressing reporters during an online news conference, he said: "I will chase him down across the state as well as possibly across the country ... because Ron DeSantis today put his signature to a bill that guarantees there will be more Jaimes."

"Somebody in Florida may die ... because of this legislation. That will be because of you, Ron DeSantis," he said.&nbsp;

They say that the decision will make the law more dangerous and will potentially lead to mass shootings like the massacre at the 2016 Pulse nightclub in Orlando and the one at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

There is a possibility that some cans of the laced beer may be circulating in the community. Keeping this in mind, police have issued an advisory that anyone who may have the 'Honey Bear House Beer' cans should avoid drinking them and should inform the police. "Consuming beer contaminated with methamphetamine may have serious or fatal medical consequences," warned&nbsp;Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin.

Concealed among the shipment was the 328kg of meth. The police said that an analysis of the meth found in its liquid form is underway. More than a quarter tonne of the drug was also recovered in crystallised form.

This comes as Auckland City’s Organised Crime Unit investigates the import of Honey Bear House Beer suspected of being contaminated with methamphetamine.&nbsp;

On March 7th, in Auckland, a young man named Aiden Sagala reportedly died after consuming meth-laced beer. While Sangala, as per the police, was not involved in the import or distribution of the contaminated beer "in any way," as per the Herald, two men have been arrested for this.&nbsp;

The report goes on to cite Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin, who said that the investigation "is by no means over yet."&nbsp;

"Our investigation continues to develop at pace, and we cannot rule out further arrests or charges as a result," he added.

Currently, over 600 firefighters are fighting the various blazes. Over the past two days, dozens of fires have been put off by emergency services in Asturias and neighbouring Cantabria, however, over 90 are still to be doused.&nbsp;

Their detention was again extended last week, however an appeals court, as per AFP, "rejected the prosecution's proposal to extend the pre-trial detention."

Earlier this week, the appeals court had rejected Tate's appeal to be released on bail.&nbsp;

Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for Romania's DIICOT anti-organised crime unit told Reuters: "All four are getting out tonight."&nbsp;

The complaint as per Fox News revolves around the congresswoman's use of Chinese-owned TikTok, which has recently come under the scanner for its alleged spying activities.

Following concern over TikTok's alleged nefarious activities, FBI director Christopher Wray had claimed that the Chinese government could use TikTok for "data operations". Subsequently, the short video format application's use was banned by the House of Representatives on official devices.

However, as per the complaint, "in spite of this, Rep. Omar has a TikTok account that she is clearly using for both official House and political purposes."

The watchdog in its complaint writes "the biography portion of the account describes her as a 'Congresswoman for #MN05.' She has posted overtly political posts, including a video of her urging viewers to support Democrat candidates, a message to Democrats volunteering for campaigns, and several videos of her campaigning and attending campaign events." &nbsp;

Congress members are barred from using official resources for campaigning purposes, however as per the complaint along with the political content, Omar "also made posts that used official government resources, including C-SPAN footage from the House floor, what appears to be a cell phone video recorded on the House floor, and an interview from what appears to be her House office."&nbsp;

Another TikTok video allegedly has Omar recording inside "what appears to be her congressional office." This, as per FACT, is in violation of the prohibition of filming in government offices for a campaign or political purposes and the ban on posting political videos on an official social media account.&nbsp;

The watchdog alleges that since Omar identifies&nbsp;the account as that of a Congresswoman and uses official government content, her account is technically an official social media account.

"These violations are disturbing, and clearly not how members are supposed to be using official resources," said Kendra Arnold, FACT's executive director, while speaking to Fox News Digital.&nbsp;

"The law is abundantly clear, and her account and the content posted speak for themselves. These rules are to protect the time, resources and integrity of official proceedings for those in elected office," she added.&nbsp;
