The group's leader is Aatish Rahman (Emraan Hashmi ) who forces Tiger and Zoya to steal a crucial briefcase that poses a threat to the security of India and Pakistan. The couple agree because Rahman has held their son hostage and it is an operation that can put their careers at stake forever.&nbsp;<br />

While the plot seems credible, it is the numerous twists that can be a little mind-boggling. Somewhere in the second half, when Shah Rukh Khan appears in an extended cameo as Pathaan - I realised I had lost track of the plot. Why are Pathaan and Tiger fighting, who are they fighting and in which country is not clear.&nbsp;And director Maneesh Sharma indulges the audience with an elaborate action sequence which seems endless and illogical. It has two ageing superstars of Bollywood trying to make us believe that they are actually performing these death-defying stunts - sure if they insist so. The story eventually finds a footing as it nears the climax when the pace truly picks up.</p>

In one scene, Khan even free falls from a cliff - much like Tom Cruise in the recent Mission Impossible film - and the entire sequence looks impressive. But when it comes to the story, it tries to arm-twist the emotions of patriotism of the viewers. Like <em>Pathaan</em>, <em>Tiger 3</em> too doesn't call Pakistan bad but points out that some of its people are terrible. Tiger in fact at one point mentions that it is his in-law's home and he will rise up to the occasion to protect his in-laws.&nbsp;</p>

You get why he is so angsty, why he wants complete destruction and why he is keen to destroy Tiger and his family. Katrina Kaif on the other hand gets elaborate fight sequences that showcase&nbsp;her fitness. Kaif as the no-nonsense Zoya has also aged and beats up more than she talks. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, brings in his charm and cockiness and much like <em>Pathaan</em>, <em>Tiger 3</em>'s high point is the banter between the two Khans amid fighting the Pakistani army and shielding themselves from crashing helicopters and machetes.&nbsp;</p>

Tiger 3 review: Salman Khan's latest is not as sharp as its prequels

<p>Salman Khan's latest film <em>Tiger 3</em> has blockbuster written all over it. The third film in the hugely successful Tiger franchise&nbsp;has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.&nbsp;On its second day itself, <em>Tiger 3 </em>has crossed the Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion) mark at the domestic box office within a day of its release. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film also features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in key roles.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per a Sacnilk report, the film ended Monday with a haul of ₹57.52 crore (Rs 570 million). On Sunday, it had collected Rs 44.5 crore (Rs 440 million). This takes its two-day collection to ₹102 crore. &nbsp;The second-day figures are even higher than the second-day collection of the year's biggest hit so far, <em>Jawan</em>.</p>

<p>So far, Shah Rukh Khan's two releases,<em> Jawan</em> and <em>Pathaan </em>are the biggest earners of 2023. <em>Jawan</em> released on a Thursday and made Rs 74.5 crore (Rs 740 million) on day 1. However, on day 2, it made Rs 53 crore (Rs 530 million).<br />

<p>Considering the film is releasing on a holiday and a festive day, makers have organised early morning screenings. And while many fans are ready to give up on their Sunday sleep to catch the first-day, first show of <em>Tiger 3, </em>Salman Khan has a different view on it.&nbsp;<br />

Salman and Katrina Kaif recently met some fans at an event ahead of the release.</p>

<p>When the emcee of the event told him that there were shows from 6 am in the morning, Salman said he would miss it and then added, "<em>6 baje toh thik hai, but saat baje ke baad na flight pakdi jaati hai na films </em>(I can manage to watch the show till 6 am but I can't catch either a flight or a film after 7 am)." Salman's reaction left the audience in splits.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I’m not surprised. I thought it was pretty epic when we were shooting it. We learned and practised the fight for a couple weeks and then shot it. The set design was absolutely gorgeous and the fight was really fun to do. It was wonderful being on an international film,” she says.</p>

Singh also publicly apologised in 2016 to Salman Khan and requested him to retain his version of the song in <em>Sultan</em>&nbsp;but Khan remained adamant and the song was sung subsequently by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.&nbsp;<br />

The film is set to release later in December this year. The director recently revealed that the film's Tamil version will be different from the Hindi version of the movie.&nbsp;<br />

While speaking to News18, Sriram Raghavan said, “It’s not one film, it’s two films. There is a Hindi film, which has got Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif and one child along with a few other characters. There is a Tamil film with the same Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina and the child, and the other actors are different.”<br />

He further added, "So I wanted to make a Tamil film also since Vijay is a very acclaimed actor in the South and I thought it will be just good for us to make two versions of this film. They are broadly the same, 95 percent they are the same but of course, language changes, and some characters also I wanted to change so that it doesn’t look like a dubbed film. I am a Tamilian myself so this is one chance so let me also try to make a Tamil film so this is two in one kind of film.”&nbsp;<br />

Raghavan also addressed the unusual pairing of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. Raghavan stated that the film's story was such that he needed an 'off-beat' pairing.&nbsp;<br />

"I was trying various combinations and permutations and I happened to meet Vijay at a festival in Melbourne and I’d seen some of his films. I just felt, ‘What if I do this odd combination’ and it has got its curiosity value, I hope. Both are very interesting characters in the film. When you see the film you’ll why I cast them. I just wanted two people who have never worked with each other and you can’t even think<em> ye saath mein kya karenge,"</em> said the<em> Andhadhun</em> director.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, <em>Merry Christmas</em> brings together Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi for the first time on screen. The movie’s release date was recently announced as December 15 and is set to clash with Karan Johar-produced Sidharth Malhotra starrer <em>Yodha.</em></p>

<p>Katrina Kaif and her husband Vicky Kaushal took a short trip to Maldives to ring in the actress'&nbsp;40th birthday along with the couple's friends. Katrina turned 40 on July 16 and celebrated the special day with friends and family. The images on social media are a testimony to the fact that the gang had a gala time on their quick getaway.&nbsp;<br />

<p>It has led to several users'&nbsp;playlists getting visibly shorter. The listeners only realised&nbsp;that the songs were missing after they hit play.<br />

Spotify has mentioned on its website that it does not provide access to all the music and podcasts in the world.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Like most other streaming services, it makes licensing deals with publishers and rights owners so it's allowed to provide their tracks.<br />
