Thomas Enders, 46, a government worker from northern Bavaria in Germany, had a suggestion and stated, "Why not keep, 10 to 15,000 (tickets) at a reasonable price like face value, $150, $200, $250, I don’t know. For the average fan, make a lottery like they do with the German games, give the average fan a chance to attend the game. Because the fans are making the NFL, the NFL is not creating the fans. What would they do if the stadiums were empty?"

A mysterious case out of the US state of Missouri has left many baffled after bodies of three American football fans of the team Kansas City Chiefs were found outside their friend’s home. However, the friend in question has since insisted that he had “no knowledge” that their bodies had possibly been there for two days.

Earlier this month, the police found the bodies of three men in the backyard of a home in Kansas City’s Northland after the fiancée of one of the men requested a welfare check.&nbsp;

When the officers from the Kansas City Police Department, on January 9 arrived at the house, one man’s body was found on the back porch of the NW 83rd Terrace home, while the other two were discovered in the backyard.&nbsp;

They were later identified as Ricky Johnson, 38, David Harrington, 37, and Clayton McGeeney, 36. So far, the police have said that they did not find any signs of foul play. Meanwhile, the mysterious circumstances surrounding the case&nbsp; garnered a lot of attention online.

The investigators are currently waiting for the results from the medical examiner to determine the cause of death of the three men. The police said that the investigation is underway and no one has been arrested or charged in connection with the case, so far.&nbsp;

“First and foremost, this case is 100% NOT being investigated as a homicide,” said Kansas City police Captain Jake Becchina. He added, “There have not been any arrests, charges, and no one is in custody.”

“The resident at the house was cooperative with detectives the day the deceased were discovered,” said Becchina.&nbsp;

<h2>‘No knowledge’</h2>

The resident of the house which was rented, was identified as Jordan Willis, whose lawyer said that his client went to bed after his friends left his house and does not know what happened to them after.&nbsp;

“Jordan had absolutely nothing to do with their deaths. He does not know the timing or manner of their deaths, nor does he know how or when they exited his house,” John Picerno, Willis’ attorney told the American media, in a statement.

“He had no knowledge that they remained in his backyard or that they needed medical attention. Had he known, he certainly would have called for help. The last time he saw them was when they left his house, and he went to bed,” Picerno added.&nbsp;

Willis’ lawyer also insisted that his client did not receive any phone calls or text messages from friends or family of the victims.&nbsp;

But acknowledged that the wife of one of the deceased tried to reach him via Facebook but “unfortunately, he did not see this message until after the police contacted him.”&nbsp;

Two people showed up at Willis’ house but he did not hear them because he sleeps with “air buds and a loud fan,” said Picerno. He added, “Two of his friends parked their cars on the street and there were no cars parked in his driveway.”&nbsp;

Willis’ lawyer said that his client did not notice the cars on the street but it would “not be unusual for his friends to have left their cars there overnight.”&nbsp;

He added, “Jordan is unaware of how his friends died. Like the rest of us, Jordan is anxiously awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology report.”&nbsp;

Willis moved out of the home less than a week after the bodies were found, said Picerno.&nbsp;

<h2>Victims’ families and friends</h2>

Over the weeks, friends and family of the victims have told the American media how the three had gone to Willis’ house to watch the game on January 7 but have not heard anything since.&nbsp;

Harrington’s mother, Jennifer Marquez, said her son went to his friend’s house to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers game on January 7 and she said the resident of the rental house later told others “his friends froze to death.”

According to the National Weather Service, the weather that day in Kansas City was -1.6 degrees Celsius and it remained below freezing over the next two days.

One of the victims’ friends lambasted Willis on social media. “This man was inside his home alive while my friends were dead in his yard for lord knows how long,” Kaylee La Tier wrote in a Facebook post, earlier this month.&nbsp;

“They were all hanging out since after the game Sunday. He KNEW people were looking for them. He read messages of people searching for him on Tuesday,” she added. &nbsp;

“My husband banged on his door for 20 min. My friend banged on his door and then busted a window and yelled and announced her presence while she’s inside and still nothing from him?? Then the cops come 10 min later and he comes out nonchalant in his boxers with an empty wine glass in hand??! Nothing is adding up,” said La Tier.&nbsp;

The friend who she said “busted a window” was reportedly McGeeney’s fiancée.&nbsp;

<h2>Mysterious 5th friend</h2>

Picerno recently also confirmed that there was a 5th person in Willis’ house aside from his client, and the three victims that day. In a statement released on Saturday (Jan 20), Willis’ lawyer also changed the story of what happened on January 7.&nbsp;

Previously, Picerno had claimed that the last time Willis saw the three men was when they left the house and he went to bed, but in the recent statement he said that his client went to sleep while the three victims and the 5th&nbsp;man continued to hangout in his home.

The 5th&nbsp;person – who has not been named publicly – revealed new details about the case in a recent interview some of which directly contradicted Picerno’s version.&nbsp;

The man told FOX 4 that it was actually the three victims and Willis who were still awake and in the home when he left and that he was not the last one to see them alive.&nbsp;

His attorney, Andrew Talge, told the channel that his client arrived at the house at about 7:00 pm (local time) and left around midnight, while the four other men were up watching Jeopardy.&nbsp;

Talge added that this indicates that the three victims were still alive in the early hours of Monday (Jan 8), directly contradicting Picerno’s statement who said Willis supposedly slept on the couch for the next two days while his three friends “froze to death”.&nbsp;

Willis’ lawyer had also claimed that his client only received messages via Facebook Messenger, and did not get texts or calls. However, Talge said his client received a text from McGeeney’s fiancée and from Johnson’s mother asking about their loved ones.

This prompted Talge’s client to text Willis and Johnson, but he did not receive a reply, the lawyer claimed. Picerno declined to comment on the discrepancy, FOX4 said.&nbsp;

In an interview with NewsNation last week, Picerno said Willis left his home sporadically on January 8 and 9. However, he later backtracked saying that Willis had only been in and out of his bedroom.&nbsp;

While the police said foul play is not suspected in their deaths, multiple agencies are working to solve the case.

"That might have been the craziest play I've ever seen in my life," Allen said of Kelce's lateral touchdown pass.

"We got a win, we've obviously got some things to clean up, but we'll take it. We just rallied behind each other, played for each other. Wish we'd scored some more points but a win's a win."

Allen threw one touchdown and rushed for another to finish with 233 passing yards from 23 completions.&nbsp;

The Miami Dolphins destroyed the Denver Broncos 70-20 on Sunday, putting up a franchise-record point total for a team and the second highest in an NFL regular-season game.

The Dolphins had 350 yards rushing and 376 yards passing with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing four touchdowns and running back Raheem Mostert scoring three.

They moved to 3-0 on the season in the most emphatic fashion.

"This doesn't compare to anything I've been a part of," Tagovailoa said after a game where Miami led 35-13 at half-time.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be guaranteed $210 million over the next four seasons after restructuring his existing contract with the club, US reports said on Monday.

Mahomes, 28, signed a 10-year contract extension in 2020 worth $450 million that ties him to the club until 2031.

However the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs have reworked that deal in order to boost Mahomes' pay in the near term at a time when quarterback salaries have skyrocketed, multiple US reports said.

Mahomes, widely regarded as the best quarterback in the NFL, will now receive a guaranteed $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, a figure that could rise to $218.1 million if certain targets are met.

While Mahomes remains contracted through 2031, the Chiefs and their quarterback plan to revisit the deal once more after the 2026 season, reports said.

Under the reworked contract, Mahomes will be paid an average of $52.65 million per season, which is second only to the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow in terms of annual salary.

Burrow recently signed an NFL record contract extension that is worth a reported $275 million over five years.

Burrow's deal was one of a wave of recent quarterback contracts that eclipsed Mahomes previous contract.&nbsp;

The Los Angeles Chargers' Justin Herbert signed a five-year $262.5 million extension in July, while the Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson inked a $260 million five-year agreement in April. The Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts also agreed a bumper contract in April worth $255 million over five years.

Mahomes was chosen by the Chiefs with the 10th pick of the 2017 NFL Draft and has since led the franchise to two Super Bowl titles, while winning NFL Most Valuable Player in 2018 and 2022.

They were unable to make the two-point conversion needed to force overtime however, leaving their new coach Sean Payton with a 0-2 start to the season.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for two touchdowns and 237 yards as Bengals counterpart Joe Burrow once again struggled to get into the groove.

Burrow led a late rally to close the Bengals' deficit to three points with a pass to Tee Higgins in the end zone with 3:28 remaining in the fourth quarter.

But Baltimore held on to possession on the next drive to run down the clock as the Ravens improved to 2-0.

In Detroit, Lions quarterback Jared Goff's bid to set a new NFL record for the longest passing streak without an interception came to an abrupt end in a 37-31 overtime defeat to the Seattle Seahawks in the Motor City.

Goff had been within touching distance of Aaron Rodgers' record of 402 passes without a takeaway after moving to 383 attempts without an interception.

But the streak ended when Goff was picked off by Tre Brown in the fourth quarter for a touchdown to help Seattle into 31-21 lead.

An 8-2 run over their last 10 games last season had many thinking this is the year Goff and Co. can turn things around.

Goff, however, wasn't getting ahead of himself when asked what the win meant for the long-struggling Lions.

"It means we're 1-0," he said.

Mahomes, who had been 5-0 in openers, threw for 226 yards with two touchdowns. He was also the Chiefs' leading rusher with 45 yards on six carries.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested a Kansas City Chief fan who was on the run in a robbery case. He was arrested in Lincoln, California, informed the US&nbsp;Attorney's office, Western District of Missouri on Monday, July 10.

The superfan, Xaviar Babudar, aka, ChiefsAholic, was charged with one count of bank theft and one count of transporting stolen properties across state lines. Babudar, 28, is known to wear a werewolf uniform during Chiefs' games and had a strong presence on social media among the fans.

According to a court affidavit, Babudar is suspected of multiple bank robberies in the Midwest region from March to December 2022. He was charged in December after being arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma in a bank robbery and was suspected of being involved in robberies in Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee and Minnesota as well.

Days before Super Bowl 57 between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in February, he was, however, released on bond. About six weeks into the bail, Babudar alleged to have removed his ankle monitor and didn't come for his arraignment hearing as well. The local authorities also couldn't trace him and he was placed on the Greater Kanas City Crime Stoppers list of most wanted.

A federal warrant was issued against him after he was located near the Sacramento area four months after going AWOL.&nbsp;

Kansas City Chiefs' newest wide receiver Richie James is excited to be a part of the last year's Super Bowl champion franchise. The WR, in his fourth NFL season, earned the one-year deal with the Chiefs following his break-out season with the New York Giants.

James had joined the league in 2018 and had spent three years with the San Francisco 49ers before moving to New York. In 17 games with the Giants, James received the ball 57 times and covered 569 yards, averaging 10 yards per carry. He also notched up four touchdowns to his name, one more than he had in his first three seasons in the league. 2022 was also James' best season in the league.

Speaking on his opportunity with the Chiefs, James was confident on getting a chance to build on his performance of the last year.

"It's very similar offenses," James had told the Kansas City Star in June. "And you got the smartest and the greatest head coach you can possibly ask for."

The 27-year-old, however, might not find himself in the top of depth chart of the Chiefs for the position even with the departures of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman. James, although, is willing to contribute in any way the Chiefs want him to.

"Wherever they put me at, I'm just here to contribute to whatever they want me to do," he said.

Overall, James had a perfect answer when asked about what he likes the most about his new franchise: "Everything," James had said.

In his four-year long career, James has played in 57 games so far. In those 57 games he has played, the WR has received the ball 95 times and has racked 1,258 yards. He averages 13.2 yards per carry, overall with seven touchdowns to his name.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been granted relief by a municipal court in a misdemeanor case. The WR had an assault charge against him for manhandling a media person with credentials in Kansas City during an NFL game in October last year.

A prosecutor had dismissed the charges against Adams on June 5, reported media outlet The Kansas City Star on Friday (June 23) quoting a spokesperson for a Kansas City municipal court.

During the incident which happened during the Raiders' game against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 10, Adams had shoved a person identified by police as Ryan Zebley. The victim was working as a freelance photographer for ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' during the game which the Raiders lost 30-29.

As per the police records, Zebley suffered a headache, whiplash and a possible minor concussion, reported ESPN. A civil case where Zebley is suing the football teams among other still remains pending in Jackson City.

NFL: Assault charge against Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams dropped

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hills is&nbsp;under investigation for an altercation that took place at a Miami beach on Sunday. Hill is being probed on allegations of assault/battery for hitting a marina beach employee, said the Miami-Dade Police Department on Tuesday.

The NFL wide receiver allegedly hit the marina employee during a disagreement which happened on Sunday, reported WPLG-TV in Miami. Andy Slater, the host of the Miami sports radio show, reported that Hill hit the employee on the back of the head. The victim, however, has&nbsp;refrained from pressing charges at the moment.

Miami Dolphins have also released a statement via a franchise spokesperson who acknowledged the incident.

"We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL," the Dolphins said in a statement. "We will reserve further comment at this time," said the Dolphins spokesperson.

Hill joined Dolphins in 2022 after spending six years with the two-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Hill, with the Chiefs, had 479 receptions in 91 games, notching up 6,630 yards. He won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019.

The WR's best season although, came in 2021 with the Dolphins when he racked up 1,710 yards in 119 receptions in 17 games.

NFL: New Washington Commanders OC Eric Bieniemy explains why he left Chiefs

Eric Bieniemy, the offensive coordinator of the Super Bowl LVII winner Kansas City Chiefs, is reportedly joining the Washington Commanders as their new OC from the upcoming season in a two-year deal. According to ESPN, the Commanders have already finalized a deal to hire Bieniemy as their new OC and assistant head coach in a deal that includes a promotion in title, contractual structure and a pay raise. The sources say and ESPN reports that the Chiefs OC spent Friday with the Commanders current assistants and will meet the rest on Saturday. An introductory news conference with Bieniemy is supposed to take place sometime next week.&nbsp;

Bieniemy was with the Chiefs since the last five seasons helped Kansas City develop a strong offense, one which saw the Chiefs win two Super Bowls in last four years, including one just a week ago. He, however, wasn't the main playcaller as Chiefs head coach Andy Reid called the shots. With Washington, however, Bieniemy will be in control of all the offense plays.

According to ESPN, the Commanders have already finalized a deal to hire Bieniemy as their new OC and assistant head coach in a deal that includes a promotion in title, contractual structure and a pay raise. An introductory news conference with Bieniemy is supposed to take place sometime next week. During the podcast, Jason talked about his future and like every player, he's exhausted from the crazy week he had. Incidentally, this was only the second time in Super Bowl history that both teams scored on their first possession of the game. The start perfectly set the tone for the rest of the game.&nbsp;

Despite impacting the game with his performance, Hurts was the reason Eagles conceded a seven-point advantage in the second quarter. After opening the scoring on the quarter with a brilliant 45-yard pass, Hurts dropped the ball in the next possession.&nbsp;

Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton seized upon the fumble and ran 36 yards into the end zone to draw level at 14-14.&nbsp;

Hurts continued with the offence and after his 28-yard rush for a first down, took the Eagles into the red zone - restoring the lead with a four-yard run into the end zone.

Despite the setback, the Eagles added a field goal before half-time, after more impressive running from Hurts, to go in 24-14 up at the interval.&nbsp;

Trailing by ten points,&nbsp;Mahomes' nursed his ankle problem and came back on the pitch and instantly&nbsp;led a 75-yard touchdown drive, including a 14-yard rush.&nbsp;

The Eagles scored a field goal to enter the final quarter with a six-point lead but the Chiefs started their comeback trail from thereon.&nbsp;

The Eagles committed a blunder when they allowed Kadarius Toney to collect a pass from Mahomes and put City up 28-27 for the first time in the game.&nbsp;

In the very next phase, Toney, building up on the previous point, produced a 65-yard punt and set up Skyy Mooree, the wide-open receiver.&nbsp;

The game ended in controversy as a holding penalty by&nbsp;James Bradberry gave the Chiefs a chance to run the clock down and kick a game-winning field goal with eight seconds left, which Harrison Butker nailed from 27 yards.

Super Bowl LVII: Kansas City Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 after a late dash

The Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday was a game of inspiration, frenzy, spirited performance, slippery field, and a controversial call in the final minutes of the championship showdown. A call that may have changed the outcome of the game or denied a chance of the game going into OT. The call in question here was made with the game hanging in balance at 35-35 and with 1:54 minutes left on the clock, the refs gave a defence holding penalty against the Eagles. The call immediately gave the Chiefs, which were 3rd-and-8 at the Eagles' 15-yard line, a first down.

Eagles fans didn't like it. LeBron James didn't agree with the call. A lot of former players called the refs out for the outrageous call which stopped the game short of becoming one of the all-time classics. Here are some of the tweets:

What happened after that call was pure game awareness from the Chiefs. Their QB Patrick Mahomes, despite a troubling ankle, continued with the drive, which ended in Chiefs' Kicker Harrison Butker's 27-yard field goal with just eight seconds left on the clock. The scores were 38-35 and FG was good, good enough for the Chiefs to win their second Super Bowl in four years.

One of the two involved in the call, Eagles cornerback James Bradberry, however, accepted that he was holding Chief's Juju Smith-Schuster's jersey. "It was a holding," Bradyberry told reporters, per the Boston Globe. "I tugged on the jersey. ... They called it. I was hoping they would let it ride."

Well, even if the penalty was technically right, it raises a question of whether the game has become too technically right with no space for some harmless non-direction-changing plays. Imagine, if the call wasn't given. The Chiefs would have scored the FG but the Eagles would have had enough time to respond and level and we might have been writing about that play instead of this one. But alas, it shall stay as what if.

Super Bowl LVII: Twitter outraged over late holding penalty call by refs against Eagles

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the Super Bowl LVII MVP as Kansas City rallied from behind to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in the championship showdown on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. The Chiefs' QB gave a spirited performance despite a troubling ankle and threw three touchdowns while completing 21 of 27 pass attempts for a total of 182 yards. Mahomes was earlier named the league MVP before the Super Bowl as the QB led its team to a 14-3 regular season record before going 3-0 in the postseason. This is the Chiefs' second Lombardi trophy in four years and third in total with Mahomes becoming only the 13th QB in NFL history to win multiple championships.

The Eagles have also promoted safety Anthony Harris and receiver Greg Ward from the practice squad to the active roster. Siposss was on the injured list since Week 14 after he injured his ankle during the game against the New York Giants. Siposs will take the place back from his replacement Brett Kern, who could not fill the shoes in Siposs' absence.

Siposs averages 45.6 yards per punt this season with a net average of 40.5 yards. Kern, on the other hand, averaged a mediocre 42.2 yards per punt and an even lower net average of 37.7 yards.
