<p>Opening film "White Noise" is the first of four Netflix-produced films competing for the top prize Golden Lion as the streamer seeks to bolster its artistic credentials.</p>

<p>A lot of speculations and questions emerged when J.K. Rowling didn't attend&nbsp;the 'Harry Potter' reunion that marked its 20th anniversary. Since the author was nowhere to be seen in 'Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts', which premiered on January 1 this year on HBO Max, fans were quite disappointed. And, now the author has finally shared why she didn't attend the reunion and meet the cast of the franchise.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During her appearance on Virgin Radio Saturday, the author explained why she didn't feature in the reunion. According to People magazine, the author said,&nbsp;"I was asked to be on that, and I decided I didn`t want to do it."</p>

<p>"I thought it was about the films more than the books, quite rightly. That was what the anniversary was about," Rowling told the host of the show, Graham Norton.</p>

<p>"No one said don't (do it)... I was asked to do it and I decided not to," she added.</p>

<p>The 57-year-old also discussed her relationship with social media on the show. While referring to a&nbsp;death threat she received after expressing her concern about Salman Rushdie's stabbing incident, she said, "I try to behave online as I would like others to behave... I've never threatened anyone," and added, "I certainly wouldn't want anyone to go to their houses or anything like that."</p>

<p>"Social media can be a lot of fun, and I do like the pub argument aspect of it. That can be a fun thing to do...," she continued. "I sort of have a love-hate relationship with it now. I can happily go for a few days without getting into a (virtual) pub brawl."</p>

<p>Welcoming audience members, giving tours of the subterranean theatre and taking care of the myriad technical details, 41-year-old Svytsoun is the beating heart of the operation. He is the one who worked to get the theatre reopened in the relative safety of an underground bunker.</p>

<p>With the help of a European aid fund, his team took two months to transform a shelter four metres below ground into the 35-seat venue, its irregular white walls covered with a fresco reminiscent of classical theatres.</p>

<p>The strategic port city of Mykolaiv had a population of half a million souls before Russia invaded on February 24.</p>

<p>Now it bears the scars of the many bombardments it has endured almost daily for the past six months.</p>

<p>Three hundred metres (yards) from the elegant neo-classical building that houses the theatre stands the twisted concrete shell of the regional administration, which was hit by a missile on March 29 that killed 37 people.</p>

<p>Her colleague Marina Vassyleva, who is about to don a wedding dress, adds emphatically: "Actors, in these circumstances, are the doctors of the human soul."</p>

<p>Legendary Pakistani singer Nayyara Noor is no more.&nbsp;The melody queen, who was fondly known as Bulbul-e-Pakistan, passed away at the age of&nbsp;71. On Sunday, August 21, the news of her death was confirmed by her nephew Rana Zaidi.<br />

Noor breathed her last in Karachi. The exact reason for her death has not been revealed, but reports state she was not well and was undergoing treatment for some days now.<br />

<p>The renowned singer was born on November 3, 1950 in Assam, the north-eastern state of India, where she spent some early years of her childhood.&nbsp;<br />

Nayyara had no musical background and in her childhood, she was first inspired by the voice of actor and singer Karan Devi's Bhajans and Begum Akhtar's ghazals and thumris. However, when Noor was in college, one of&nbsp;her professors discovered her talent after listening to her melodious songs&nbsp;and gave her a chance to sing in college.</p>

<p>Later, she started singing in radio programmes at her university. In the year 1971, Nayyara started singing in TV daily soaps and later lent her voice to films&nbsp;and sang ghazals of famous poets in various public events.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In her career spanning decades, the singer has&nbsp;been honoured with several accolades and was given the title of&nbsp;Bulbul-e-Pakistan.</p>

Legendary Pakistani singer Nayyara Noor is no more. The melody queen, who was fondly known as Bulbul-e-Pakistan, passed away at the age of 71. On Sunday, August 21, the news of her death was confirmed by her nephew Rana Zaidi.

The exact reason for her death has not been revealed, but reports state she was not well and was undergoing treatment for some days now. Later, when Noor was just seven years old, she along with her family migrated to Karachi except her father. Nayyara had no musical background and in her childhood, she was first inspired by the voice of actor and singer Karan Devi's Bhajans and Begum Akhtar's ghazals and thumris. However, when Noor was in college, one of her professors discovered her talent after listening to her melodious songs and gave her a chance to sing in college. Later, she started singing in radio programmes at her university. In the year 1971, Nayyara started singing in TV daily soaps and later lent her voice to films and sang ghazals of famous poets in various public events. In her career spanning decades, the singer has been honoured with several accolades and was given the title of Bulbul-e-Pakistan.
