<p>Cristiano Ronaldo's explosive interview with Piers Morgan has become a major talking point even before release. Snippets of the interview have gone viral with Ronaldo not holding back and making some shocking claims regarding his equation with the top brass at Manchester United.</p>

<p>Recently, few of Ronaldo's explosive quotes from the interview have made heads turn, where the superstar striker spoke on his equation with manager Erik Ten Hag and touched up on various topics. From the interaction, Ronaldo has now lashed out at Old Trafford club for showing lack of empathy when his daughter&nbsp;was ill, in July, and he couldn't arrive on time for the 2022/23 Premier League pre-season training.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I spoke with the director and the president of Man Utd and they kind of didn't believe that something was going wrong, which made me feel bad," Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV. Just get your head down and work: Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney slams Cristiano Ronaldo

<p>Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been named the best player in the world five times, will arrive in Qatar with a mission to prove that he can still make a difference.</p>

<p>It is indisputable that Ronaldo is one of the greatest forwards of all time but his latest struggles with Manchester United and Portugal have raised many questions about whether his brilliant career is nearing a bitter end.</p>

<p>Ronaldo is the leading scorer in the history of men's international football with 117 goals in 191 official matches.</p>

<p>Between his first Portugal goal versus Greece at Euro 2004 and his most recent, a double against Switzerland in June 2022, 18 years have passed, making him a model of longevity.</p>

<p>He has scored 818 goals in his career and holds the record for the most Champions League goals in the competition's history with 140.</p>

Cristiano Ronaldo has last chance to shine on World Cup stage for Portugal in Qatar

<p>Cristiano&nbsp;Ronaldo&nbsp;scored on his first Manchester United appearance since his refusal to come on as a substitute last week in a 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday. <p>Ronaldo, 37, started up front with 18-year-old Argentinian winger Alejandro Garnacho, who was making his maiden senior start. Right-back Dalot opened the scoring just before the break before Rashford doubled the lead with 25 minutes to play.</p>

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to first-team training after serving punishment for Tottenham Hotspur walkout

<p>Cristiano Ronaldo's fractious second spell at Manchester United "has to end" as soon as possible, according to the club's former defender Gary Neville. The Portuguese forward, who recently scored his 700th career goal, has been largely consigned to the bench under new manager Erik ten Hag this season.</p>

<p>He was left out of the squad for Saturday's draw at Chelsea in the Premier League after his petulant reaction to being an unused substitute in midweek against Tottenham Hotspur. With United showing encouraging signs of progress under Ten Hag, Neville believes the Ronaldo situation must be resolved.</p>

<p>"Cristiano Ronaldo is going to have to go somewhere else and play every week because he can't accept being on the bench," Neville told Sky Sports. "That's fine, but end it this week or create a truce to get to the World Cup and then end it. "It has to end."</p>

<p>Ronaldo walked down the tunnel minutes before the end of United's 2-0 win over Tottenham and left the ground, conduct Neville claims was unacceptable. "That's the second time Cristiano Ronaldo has left Old Trafford and got in his car before his team have got back into the changing room," Neville said. "I have to say, as someone in the dressing room, it's something that's unacceptable. When you look at whether Cristiano should be selected, Manchester United are better without him -- and Erik ten Hag knows that.</p>

Man United must end relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, insists club's former defender Gary Neville

<p>Former England cricket team captain Kevin Pietersen slammed Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag branding him a 'clown' for 'disrespecting' Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has been dropped from Manchester United's squad to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday after he refused to come on as a substitute and left the stadium before the full-time whistle during United's 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.</p>

<p>While Ronaldo was criticised by many for his antics, the Portuguese superstar has also managed to find support from his cult fans, who have lashed out at Ten Hag over his treatment of the club legend. Pietersen launched a scathing attack on Ten Hag after Manchester United took to Instagram to share a post featuring cricketers who have visited their stadium.</p>

<p>Hopping on to the T20 World Cup trend, United portrayed how several top cricketers over the years have enjoyed their time at Old Trafford and spent time with those associated with the club. Pietersen was one of the cricketers included in United's post.</p>

Kevin Pietersen calls Man Utd manager Erik Ten Hag a 'clown' for 'disrespecting' Cristiano Ronaldo

<p>Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have dominated world football for over a decade. The arch-rivals continue to shatter records despite being in the final laps of their respective careers and are still integral members of their respective clubs and national teams.</p>

<p>Both Ronaldo and Messi have enjoyed unparalleled success on the football pitch and the duo might not admit but they have made each other better players by pushing each other to be their best. Recently, FC Barcelona head coach Xavi explained how in their battle for supremacy, Ronaldo helped Messi become a better player.</p>

<p>Xavi, who witnessed Messi grow from a phenomenal young talent to a bonafide legend at Camp Nou, spoke about the Argentine's epic rivalry with Ronaldo which gave him the extra push to get better.</p>

<p>"Cristiano gave him an extra push to become a better player. Cristiano and Leo probably won't admit it. I am convinced they used to keep an eye on each other. If you're competitive, you want to be the best," Xavi said in the BBC documentary 'Messi: The Enigma'.</p>

<p>Messi and Ronaldo have won a staggering 12 Ballon d'Ors between them with the Argentine claiming the prestigious award eight times. The duo won the Ballon D'Or between them for ten straight years before Real Madrid's Luka Modric ended their streak in 2018.</p>

<p>Despite being on the fag end of their playing careers, both Messi and Ronaldo have been going strong and are there are no signs of either of them hanging up their boots anytime soon. It is to be noted that&nbsp;Qatar will be the first Arab state to host the World Cup and, hence, the excitement of the football fans knows no boundaries. <p>Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag on Wednesday confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo will defend himself against the charge of improper conduct levied against him by the English Football Association. Ronaldo was charged by the English FA after he smashed an Everton fan's phone out of his hand in frustration after Manchester United's loss against the club last season.</p>

<p>The incident happened in April this year when Ronaldo was caught on camera knocking a phone out of the hand of an Everton supporter, who was trying to film the United players heading back to the dressing room after their 1-0 defeat. Cristiano Ronaldo shares heartfelt post after scoring 700th career goal in Man United-Everton PL clash

<p>Cristiano&nbsp;Ronaldo&nbsp;came off the bench to earn Manchester United a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Everton in the Premier League on Sunday, taking his career goal tally to 700 in the process. Just as United did last weekend in their derby mauling at the hands of local rivals Manchester City, they again found themselves behind early on at Goodison Park after Alex Iwobi curled a sublime strike into the net from 20 metres.</p>

<p>The visitors, however, responded much better this time around and soon levelled things up as big-money signing Antony slotted home, the Brazilian becoming the first United player to score in his first three Premier League appearances.</p>

<p>Substitute&nbsp;Ronaldo&nbsp;then entered the fray unexpectedly early after Anthony Martial picked up a back injury and took only 14 minutes to score his first Premier League goal of the season, his 144th for United across two spells.</p>

<p>United striker Marcus Rashford thought he had made doubly sure of a fifth win in six league games for the visitors late on but his effort was ruled out after a VAR review for handball against England forward.</p>

<p>Everton never really looked like finding a late equaliser as United held on for a victory that moved them up to fifth on 15 points, nine adrift of leaders Arsenal. Everton's first loss in seven league matches leaves them 12th on 10 points.</p>

<p>"It is tough still counting goals for&nbsp;Ronaldo&nbsp;because every week seems like a new record," fellow Portugal international Bruno Fernandes told BT Sport. "I am really happy because he has been working hard to get this goal. Today he got the goal and the win and that is the most important for him, that the team won."</p>

<p><strong>EVERTON IMPROVEMENT</strong></p>

<p>Everton have improved of late, winning their previous two league games after only one victory in their 10 before that, with the confidence oozing as they took the game to United. Alex Iwobi is enjoying a fine season in the heart of the Everton midfield, having previously played as a winger, scoring his first ever Premier League goal from outside the box to nearly lift the roof off a damp Goodison.</p>

Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench to earn Manchester United a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Everton in the Premier League on Sunday, taking his career goal tally to 700 in the process. Just as United did last weekend in their derby mauling at the hands of local rivals Manchester City, they again found themselves behind early on at Goodison Park after Alex Iwobi curled a sublime strike into the net from 20 metres. The visitors, however, responded much better this time around and soon levelled things up as big-money signing Antony slotted home, the Brazilian becoming the first United player to score in his first three Premier League appearances. Substitute Ronaldo then entered the fray unexpectedly early after Anthony Martial picked up a back injury and took only 14 minutes to score his first Premier League goal of the season, his 144th for United across two spells. United striker Marcus Rashford thought he had made doubly sure of a fifth win in six league games for the visitors late on but his effort was ruled out after a VAR review for handball against England forward. Everton never really looked like finding a late equaliser as United held on for a victory that moved them up to fifth on 15 points, nine adrift of leaders Arsenal. Everton's first loss in seven league matches leaves them 12th on 10 points. "It is tough still counting goals for Ronaldo because every week seems like a new record," fellow Portugal international Bruno Fernandes told BT Sport. "I am really happy because he has been working hard to get this goal. Today he got the goal and the win and that is the most important for him, that the team won." Alex Iwobi is enjoying a fine season in the heart of the Everton midfield, having previously played as a winger, scoring his first ever Premier League goal from outside the box to nearly lift the roof off a damp Goodison. Defensive errors, however, are still all too prevalent at Everton, with Idrissa Gueye caught on the ball by Fernandes, before Martial fed Antony for United’s well-worked equaliser. Other than Iwobi's fine strike, Everton did not muster another attack in the opening period, with United's Christian Eriksen and Martial denied by smart saves from Jordan Pickford. Manchester United avoided further embarrassment after their humiliating defeat to Manchester City by coming from behind to beat Cypriots Omonia Nicosia 3-2 in the Europa League on Thursday, while Premier League leaders Arsenal eased past Bodo/Glimt. Marcus Rashford scored twice along with Anthony Martial after both came off the bench in the second half as United recovered after Iran international Karim Ansarifard gave the hosts a shock lead on 34 minutes. Nikolas Panagiotou pulled one back for Neil Lennon's Omonia with five minutes to play but United held on for a second win in three Group E outings. "Job done, but we would have liked to have played better. We didn't defend badly, but we made mistakes," Rashford told BT Sport. Cristiano Ronaldo, who was an unused substitute for United's 6-3 loss at City last weekend, played the full 90 minutes as he made just his fourth start for the club this season. Erik ten Hag's side remain second in the group behind Real Sociedad, who made it three straight wins with a 2-0 victory against 10-man Sheriff Tiraspol in Chisinau. Former City star David Silva broke the deadlock shortly after half-time and Aritz Elustondo doubled the lead following Moussa Kyabou's red card on the hour. Arsenal saw off Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium courtesy of first-half goals from Eddie Nketiah and Rob Holding, and Fabio Vieira's goal six minutes from time. The Gunners are top of Group A after back-to-back wins. Their clash with PSV Eindhoven last month was rescheduled following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. "I'm really happy with the win, six points and a clean sheet. But we lacked connection between the players, we lacked consistency and domination through the game," Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta told BT Sport. "There were eight changes, you could feel that, the timing was missing. "In the final third we looked very dangerous, the goals we scored were good goals." Yorbe Vertessen and Cody Gakpo both struck twice as PSV Eindhoven thumped FC Zurich 5-1 in Switzerland. Former Paris Saint-Germain youngster Xavi Simons also scored as Ruud van Nistelrooy's team sit two points back of the Gunners. Gustaf Nilsson was the star for Union Saint-Gilloise, netting twice as a late substitute in a 2-1 victory at Braga as the Belgians took control of Group D. Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder bagged a pair of goals, the second from the penalty spot, in his side's 3-1 home win over Trabzonspor.
