After Korea and Hollywood, our mission is to produce Drishyam in 10 countries in the next three to five years”.</p>

On Saturday, the sequel to the hit was announced, along with the poster and official release date. The movie will hit theatres on November 15, 2024. Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 confirmed, here’s everything you need to know

<p>Hindi film actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have been served notices by an Indian government agency over their appearance in an advertisement endorsing tobacco companies.</p>

<p>A petition was filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court against these Bollywood celebrities for participating in advertisements which promoted products that are harmful to the health of the public at large.</p>

<p>The central government informed the court on Friday (Dec 8) that the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) issued the notices and asked the court to dismiss the petition as the matter is also being heard by the Supreme Court.</p>

<p>A bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan had earlier directed the central government to decide the representation of the petitioner, who had originally contended that action should be taken against the actors and dignitaries who were given high-profile awards but were advertising for 'gutka' companies.</p>

<h2><strong>Petitioner approached court after govt inaction&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The petitioner argued that a&nbsp;representation was made to the government on October 22, but no action was taken in the matter.</p>

<p>In response to the petition, the high court issued notice to the Cabinet Secretary of the central government.</p>

<p>Following this, on Friday, Deputy Solicitor General SB Pandey informed the High Court that the Centre had issued showcause notices to Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn.</p>

<p>The court was also informed that Amitabh Bachchan had sent a legal notice to a 'gutka' company, which was showing his advertisement despite the fact that he had already cancelled his contract with it, PTI news agency reported.</p>

<p>It's time for <em>Singham Again!</em>&nbsp;Almost a decade after the second film of the cop universe, <em>Singham Returns</em> was released, director Rohit Shetty has kicked off the filming of the third film, titled<em> Singham Again,</em> starring Ajay Devgn as&nbsp;Bajirao Singham.&nbsp;<br />

On September 16, Devgn kicked off the filming. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a few photos from the mahurat ceremony. The photos showed Devgn, director Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and other members of the team.<br />

Sharing the photos on X, he wrote: "12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!"</p>

<p>Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on Monday posted a family photo on Instagram amid growing rumours that he was headed for a divorce from his wife Kajol. The rumours started after Kajol uploaded Instagram stories stating that she was going through the toughest time of her life. However, Ajay Devgn’s afternoon brunch photo has shut down all such rumours. In the photo, Ajay can be seen along with his wife Kajol and Kids Nysa and Yug. “Nothing more sacred than spending time with this bunch,” read the caption. Kajol also re-shared this post.</p>

You will constantly ask this question yourself while watching Ajay Devgn's latest directorial venture <em>Bholaa. </em>The film is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film <em>Kaithi</em> starring Karthi and was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. While the template and the core plot of <em>Bholaa</em> remain true to its original, Devgn's film indulges in high-octane, elaborate and sometimes mind-numbing action sequences to take the narrative forward. The result is a listless film that backs heavily on action, wastes talented actors in stereotypical characters, and refuses to delve deeper into the plot which the original had successfully done.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
The story unfolds in a span of a night when an ex-convict Bholaa (Devgn) has to drive a truck full of poisoned cops to medical aid with a cook and an IPS officer Diana Joseph(Tabu) for company. The trio is chasing against time as a dreaded drug lord and his henchmen are out to kill Diana, who has seized a massive illegal consignment of drugs. The said drugs worth millions are safely tucked in the dungeons of an old British-made building now serving as a local police station. The drug lord, an eccentric Ashu (Deepak Dobriyal) sends men across the state to track Tabu and the truck she is traveling in while he heads to the police station with his entorage to get back the stuff that the police have seized. The police station is manned by only one constable (Sanjay Mishra) and a group of detained college students. There is mayhem everywhere and Bholaa has unwittingly found himself helping Diana. An ex-convict who served jail time for 10 years, he has just been released and is on his way to meet his daughter for the first time at an orphanage. Bholaa also has to finish his job before he is set free to go meet his daughter. The film, to its credit, wastes no time and digs right into the plot from the beginning. Considering it is an Ajay Devgn directorial, you go in expecting stylised action sequences. Staying true to his roots, Devgn skillfully choreographs the action sequences- many of which are long and involves chase sequences on a deserted highway. But then how many shots of action sequences can you possibly put in a story which is set on a single night? After a point, the said sequences become mind numbing, making the whole viewing experience a bit of an ordeal. The stunts defy logic, they are gruesome and after a point- stop making any sense.&nbsp;<br />

<p>Ajay Devgn's <em>Bholaa</em> is one of the most anticipated films of this year. After teasing the audience with intriguing posters and short teasers, the trailer of the film was finally released in Mumbai, today and featured Ajay in a rugged look. The film also reunites Ajay with Tabu, who is playing the role of a cop. For the unversed, the film&nbsp;is the Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil film <em>Kaithi</em>. It featured actor Karthi in the lead role. Apart from acting, Ajay is also directing the film. This&nbsp;is Devgn's&nbsp;4th directorial venture after<em>&nbsp;Shivaay, U&nbsp;Me&nbsp;Aur Hum and Runway 34.</em><br />

The trailer opens with Tabu, who is offering Ajay Devgn's character, Bholaa to team up with the police to bring down the gang of drug smugglers. As we understand from the trailer, Bholaa is a gangster and has a dark past, however, he's now out of the prison and want&nbsp;to meet his daughter. Most of the trailer is set in the dark and shows Ajay performing some intense action sequences.&nbsp;<br />

The clip also gives us the first look of the antagonist of the film played by Deepak Dobriyal. A short glimpse of his character will surely impress you. The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Amala Paul and Vineet Kumar, amongst others.&nbsp;<br />

Reports suggest that&nbsp;Abhishek Bachchan will&nbsp;play the cameo&nbsp;in the film.&nbsp;<br />

I honestly did not find the first half of the film that engaging nor did I feel too invested in the story. But in the second half, the film truly shines. The writing is far more effective, when the pace of the story picks up, making it a deeply engaging narrative where you don't want to miss even the minutest details lest you miss out on an important clue.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Much like its original, 'Drishyam 2' too also boasts of good performance from its actors. Ajay Devgn delivers a restrained but lucid performance as the smart, sharp Vijay Salgaonkar who with his brain could have ruled the world but instead chose to protect his family and provide them with a comfortable role. Devgn portrays Vijay with absolute ease- making him an extension almost of himself. The actor holds the film together, even though some patchy scenes in the first half. Complementing him are actors Akshay Khanna, Tabu, and Shriya Saran in their respective roles. Special mention for actress Ishita Dutta who in her limited screen time presents the vulnerable traumatized Anu well.&nbsp;<br />
