With the Angela Merkel-led German government giving clearance to the resumption of football season, the Bundesliga is gearing up for a return on May 16. The Bundesliga will resume services from matchday 26 with some exciting fixtures ready to enthral football lovers who have been missing the beautiful game amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bundesliga will be kicking off with one of the best derbies in the world – The Ruhr Valley Derby – played between Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04. Dortmund (51) are currently placed second in the points table four points behind leaders Bayern Munich (55) and would be hoping to defeat their arch-rivals and sixth-placed Schalke (37) in the opening clash of the matchday 26.
