Ceccon had complained about the living conditions inside the village. The Italian had pointed out that the food is bad and shared his disappointment with the lack of air conditioning in the village. He even claimed that he struggles to get good sleep in the afternoon due to the heat and noise.
As quoted by The Sun, Ceccon said, "There is no air conditioning in the village, it's hot, the food is bad. Many athletes move for this reason: it's not an alibi or excuse, it's the reality of what perhaps not everyone knows. I'm disappointed that I didn't make the final but I was too tired. It's hard to sleep both at night and in the afternoon.Usually, when I'm at home, I always sleep in the afternoon: here I really struggle between the heat and the noise."
This is not the first time when athletes have complained about the ordinary living conditions in the village. USA's tennis star Coco Gauff had also complained about the same.
Recently, the Indian Sports Ministry sent as many as 40 portable air conditioners to help the athletes competing at the Paris Olympic Games Village amid the tough hot and humid conditions and lack of air conditioning.
