Kansas City Chiefs tight end and pop icon Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce has signed a new two-year contract extension with the franchise. Kelce's new contract is worth $34.25 million with $17 million in guarantees. Out of the balance amount, most of the money will also be given in guarantees three days into the 2025 season. The money part was reported by ESPN citing a source.
The 34-year-old, who has played a significant role in making the Chiefs win three Super Bowls in the last five years, reacted to the extension by posting a video via the Chiefs' social media platform X and said: "an honor and a pleasure and I can't wait to get after it these next two years ... Chiefs forever.''
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes also reacted to the news and posted on X: "I told yall I'll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy! @tkelce''

Speaking about the TE's contribution, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said: "Hard to put in words what Travis means to this organization, this city, and he was certainly a priority to adjust his contract for us and it was something that was important for Clark [Hunt]. So very fitting that Travis [is] now the highest-paid tight end in these two years."
Notably, Kelce has an NFL record of 165 catches for 1,903 yards and 19 touchdowns in 22 postseason games. In the regular season, he has 907 receptions for 11,328 yards and 74 touchdowns across his 11 seasons in the league.
He fell short by 16 yards in the last season for his record-extending eighth consecutive 1000-yard season. He had missed the first game of the Chiefs' last Super Bowl-winning season with a knee injury while missing the last game of the regular season to rest ahead of the playoffs.
Kelce has been named to nine consecutive Pro Bowls as well as four mentions in first-team All-Pro.
