Afghan forces kill 11 IS militants in Nangarhar province

At least 11 militants belonging to the Islamic State have been killed in an operation led by Afghan security forces in the Nangarhar area.

The operation was carried out in the eastern part of the Nangarhar province on Sunday.

The Tolo News quoted the Public Order Police, as saying in a statement, that the operation was launched in Khogyani district to clear the area.

Media reports further said that four other insurgentsgot injured and a 'heroin factory was also destroyed.'

There have been no comments by the IS yet.
