The arrest was made on the grounds that the man did not have permission to visit the region and an unusual chatter on the Internet was intercepted by the Army after which security agencies in the Kashmir valley were alerted about it.The 29-year-old Hu Congtai, arrived in Delhi on a tourist visa and had the permission to visit only Buddhist religious places in Varanasi, Agra, New Delhi, Jaipur, Sarnath, Gaya and Kushi Nagar, reported PTI.&nbsp;He, however, taking advantage of his resemblance to the local population in Ladakh flew to the region on November 10, without registering at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office counter located at the Leh airport.&nbsp;Investigations reveal that Congtai &nbsp;toured the Zanskar region for three days and visited other places of importance. From here he flew to Srinagar on December 1, said officials, according to PTI.&nbsp;And while the police searched his phone history it came to light that he had been looking for the deployment of CRPF in the valley.&nbsp;After landing in Srinagar, the Chinese national put up at an unregistered guest house and visited Buddhist religious place at Harwan, where a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was killed in an encounter last year. All three aircraft landed safely at the Hyderabad airport, the IndiGo flight at 10:50 pm on Sunday, while the Lufthansa and British Airways planes landed on Monday morning at 2 am and 5:30 am, respectively.&nbsp;Earlier on Saturday (Dec 6), a threat was sent to Hyderabad airport for two international flights, from London Heathrow and Kuwait. British Airways flight BA 277, travelling from Heathrow to Hyderabad, landed safely at the RGIA at 5:25 am. Authorities said that safety protocols were initiated. While another plane, Kuwait Airways flight KU 373 from Kuwait, was returned to the departure airport.&nbsp;“On 6th December 2025, a Bomb threat email was received on Hyd airport customer support id for flight BA 277 (Heathrow to Hyderabad). The Flight landed safely in HYD at 5:25AM. Standard safety protocols were initiated,” Hyderabad Airport GMR said. “On 6th December 2025, a Bomb threat email was received on Hyd airport customer support id for flight KU 373/ (Kuwait to Hyderabad) KWI-Hyd. The Flight returned back to departure airport.”&nbsp;Similar security threats were received on Friday (Dec 5) when the airport received a bomb threat for Air India flight AI 2879, travelling from Delhi, and Emirates flight EK526, travelling from Dubai. Both flights landed safely at the Hyderabad airport. Meanwhile, on Thursday (Dec 4), an IndiGo flight going from Medina to Hyderabad made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport following a bomb threat.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Flight landed safely in HYD at 5:25AM. Standard safety protocols were initiated,” Hyderabad Airport GMR said. “On 6th December 2025, a Bomb threat email was received on Hyd airport customer support id for flight KU 373/ (Kuwait to Hyderabad) KWI-Hyd. According to reports, the fire began in a neighbouring building and quickly spread to Sahaja’s home. She was reportedly asleep when the fire broke out and could not escape. “Tragically, the adult female victim succumbed to her injuries she sustained in the fire,” the police department said.It did not release the victim’s name pending notification of kin but the deceased has been identified as Udumala by her family.<h2>Family's appeal</h2>Udumala’s cousin Rathna Gopu launched a fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, repatriation and transportation arrangements, immediate family support and additional expenses resulting from the tragic accident. A series of raids was carried out across Delhi-NCR to trace Shubham, who constantly switched SIM cards to evade surveillance. Persistent tracking by the Cyber Cell led to his arrest from Tilak Nagar on December 6, 2025. The police recovered one laptop, two mobile phones, five chequebooks and six debit cards during the operation. It urged passengers to check for the latest flight status on its official website before reaching the airports, as its teams work to improve operations. “Growing confidence for stabilization of the network by 10th December, earlier communicated timeline was between 10 and 15 December,” IndiGo said. Extending an apology to its customers for the inconvenience caused, IndiGo stated, “We deeply regret the immense inconvenience this has caused and extend our heartfelt apologies to all our customers. We are grateful for the patience, trust and understanding shown by our customers and the tireless efforts of our employees and partners. We continue to work closely with all authorities and stakeholders to ensure a swift return to full normalcy.” In a advisory, Delhi Airport said, “IndiGo flights may still experience delays. In Bengaluru, she will visit the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and meet private-sector leaders. After six days of flight disruption, IndiGo airlines on Sunday said it had restored most of its network, scaling up operations to more than 1,500 flights and reconnecting 135 of its 138 destinations. The massive disruption was attributed by IndiGo to a mix of "technical glitches and operational challenges", following the introduction of revised Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms.<h2>"IndiGo was alerted about new rule in advance"</h2>In November, the DGCA mandated more rest hours for pilots under new FDTL rule and asked airlines to make more humane rosters. It is this change that IndiGo blames for the chaos. However, it is to be noted that all airlines companies were alerted about the changes and asked to implement new FDTL ruke as per the High Court guidelines in two phases - from 1st July 2025 and from 1st November 2025 but IndIGo failed to do so, according to MoS Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol.&nbsp;"We alerted all airline companies in the country that we have to implement FDTL as per the High Court guidelines in two phases - from 1st July 2025 and from 1st November 2025. All airlines companies worked on this but IndiGo did not take it as seriously as it should have. The reason behind the situation that formed 4 days back, the chaos was the IndiGo and its management did not take this seriously", said Mohol.&nbsp;The new FDTL rule - reduction of duty hours for pilots from 10 to 8 - was made by the Pilots' Association to which even the Delhi High Court gave its approval and thereafter it was implemented letting all airline companies know in advance about the changes.&nbsp;"The reason behind the situation that formed 4 days back, the chaos was the IndiGo and its management did not take this seriously. Through DGCA, we took immediate action. We appointed a 4-member investigation committee, a 24/7 control room was set up, we kept FDTL regulations in abeyance until February 2026. The members received a detailed briefing from the Management on the nature and extent of the crisis,” the airlines said in a statement. “This meeting was followed up with a session confined to only Board members at which, it was decided to set up a Crisis Management Group (CMG) comprising amongst others the Chairman, Vikram Singh Mehta; Board Directors, Gregg Saretsky, Mike Whitaker and Amitabh Kant, and the CEO Pieter Elbers.”The statement further added that the group has been holding regular meetings to monitor the situation and restore normal operations. “This Group has been meeting regularly to monitor the situation and is being constantly updated by the Management of the measures being undertaken to restore normal operations.
