In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving vehicle on the Gurgaon-Faridabad road for more than two hours and then thrown on the road early on Tuesday. But, as soon vehicle left the spot, it moved towards Gurgaon Road instead of her home. Then, the woman in the van was allegedly raped for around two-and-a-half hours, as per the report in NDTV.&nbsp;Despite her resistance, the accused allegedly continued and threatened the woman. At around 3 am, she was pushed out of the moving van near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar, sustaining serious facial injuries and bleeding heavily.<h3>Family members rushed to the spot</h3>The woman repeatedly tried to contact her sister and managed to alert her when the sister returned the call. Family members rushed to the spot and took her to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors administered 10 to 12 stitches to her face. While her condition is now stable, she remains in shock, and her statement is yet to be recorded.&nbsp;According to the complaint filed by the victim’s sister, the woman had called her around 8.30 pm a day earlier, saying she had argued with her mother and was heading to a friend’s house, assuring her she would return within three hours. Following the tragic incident, speaking to reporters, Mumbai DCP Hemraj Singh Rajput said, "The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, four succumbed to their injuries. Three of the four deceased victims are women, and one a man, while of the nine injured, eight of them are men and one woman."According to Mumbai Police, the BEST bus driver has been taken into custody for questioning, and a probe is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.<h2>Financial assistance for victims</h2>Earlier, expressing grief over the tragic accident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased in the accident."The tragic incident in which 4 people lost their lives in a fatal accident near Bhandup railway station in Mumbai is extremely unfortunate. I pay my heartfelt tribute to them. In this incident, 9 people were injured, and I pray at the feet of God for their speedy recovery. The state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased," CM Fadnavis said in a post on X.

Earlier, a 29-year-old man, Amrit Mondal, also known as Samrat, was beaten to death by locals in the Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari on the night of Wednesday, December 24. The incident took place around 11 pm at the Hossaindanga Old Market area. Police stated that both vehicles were moving towards Bilaspur Gate. While approaching the crossing, the Bolero driver attempted to take a turn, where the truck continued to move straight at the diversion, resulting in a collision and overturning onto the Bolero.&nbsp;CCTV footage also shows that the truck driver attempted to swerve on, suddenly spotting the Bolero ahead in a bid to avoid a crash. The manoeuvre caused the truck to hit the divider, smash through it and topple onto the Bolero. The truck, laden with wooden scrap, spilt its load across the road, completely covering the smaller vehicle.
