Cognizant is rolling it out to its employees worldwide. Infosys will work with Anthropic to build AI agents—think of them as smart digital helpers—for industries like telecom and banking.&nbsp;Google and Meta are also expanding their data centres in India. The message is clear: India is no longer just a market where foreign companies sell their products. India is becoming a partner—a place where AI is built together.&nbsp;But here is the crucial part. India cannot depend entirely on foreign AI. Western models are powerful, but they often do not understand India deeply. India has 22 official languages and hundreds of dialects. Most Indians do not use English in their daily lives. And most global AI tools still struggle with this reality.&nbsp;This is why two Indian-made AI projects matter. It was added that approximately 89,000 Sri Lankan Tamils continue to reside in Tamil Nadu, of which a significant proportion of them have lived in India for more than 30 years, and nearly 40 per cent of them were born on Indian soil.&nbsp;While the State has fulfilled its humanitarian responsibilities with commitment and compassion, these individuals remain in a state of prolonged legal uncertainty. Despite their decades-long residence and integration into the social fabric, many continue to lack access to durable legal solutions such as citizenship or long-term visa status, Stalin said in the letter.&nbsp;To resolve these issues, the Chief Minister had said that his Government constituted an Advisory Committee to study the status of these Sri Lankan Tamils. The recommendations shared by the committee included: Rescinding earlier administrative instructions that bar consideration of citizenship applications from Sri Lankan Tamils; Issuing an executive clarification waiving passport and visa requirements, where appropriate, for the purpose of citizenship or long-term visa applications, based on verified identity documentation issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.&nbsp;Further, it had said that appropriate powers be designated to district-level authorities for streamlined processing. He (Scorpio driver), along with his sister, was out to make fun reels. The speed with which the Scorpio is being driven is clearly visible in the reel. He (Scorpio driver) was driving in the opposite lane and came right in front of the bus and performed a stunt.”&nbsp;“My son looked to the right to see whether there was space as there was an e-rickshaw on the left side of the bus. The Scorpio collided with the motorcycle and hit the roadside parked car. The Scorpio driver did not apply the brakes after the collision. Even a cab driver has been seriously injured in the accident. This is a criminal activity. Some people think that they can do anything on the road because their parents are wealthy, this is a criminal mentality. This is not just an accident. My son died due to their fun reel. There are already many over-speeding challans against him (Scorpio), yet his father did not stop him from driving. I want justice for my son. No one is safe on the road due to people like them. Strict action should be taken against them, he (Scorpio driver) does not even have a license.”
