Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday participated in the INDIA bloc's rally in New Delhi against her husband's arrest. At the rally in the Ramlila Maidan, Sunita read out her husband's message from jail. "Your own Kejriwal has sent a message for you from jail. Before reading this message, I would like to ask you something. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi put my husband in jail, did the Prime Minister do the right thing?" she told thousands of supporters.

"Do you believe that Kejriwal ji is a true patriot and honest person? These BJP people are saying that Kejriwal ji is in jail, he should resign. Should he resign? Your Kejriwal is a lion, they will not be able to keep him in jail for long..." she added.

Kejriwal's six guarantees for polls

Quoting Arvind Kejriwal, Sunita said that the Delhi CM presented six guarantees for the Lok Sabha elections.

The guarantees are:

>No power cuts across India.

>Electricity would be free for poor people.

>Government schools would be built in every village.

>Mohalla Clinics would be built in every village. "We will make a multi-speciality government hospital in every district. Everyone would get free treatment," Kejriwal's message said.

>Farmers would be given the correct price for their crops.

>The Delhi CM also guaranteed statehood for the national capital.

"We will complete these 6 guarantees in 5 years. I have made all the planning from where the money for these guarantees will come..." the message added.

'Not asking for votes...'

Quoting Kejriwal, his wife Sunita also said that the chief minister was not asking for votes. "India is a great nation with thousands of years old civilisation... I think about Mother India from inside the jail and she is in pain... Let's make a new India... If INDIA Alliance is given an opportunity, we will build a new India," the message further said.

Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) earlier in March in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. The CMis in the central agency's custody till Monday.
