Union minister of state for skill developmentAnantkumar Hegde criticised Karnataka Chief MinisterSiddaramaiahon Fridayfor celebrating Tipu Jayanti in the state.
He sarcastically added that the day wasn't far when people of the state will celebrate Kasab (Ajmal Kasab) Jayanti as well.
Siddaramaiah did not celebrate Kittur Chennamma festival but he is busy celebrating Tipu Jayanti,he said whilespeaking to the public in Begavi.
Hegde, who is known for taking potshots a the Congress, slammed the state government forknowingly ignoring Kittur Chennamma festival which, he said, hasgreat historical and cultural importance, and instead celebrated Tipu Sultan's birthday anniversary on November 10.
