Security forces track terrorists in Srinagar, encounter underway
On Saturday, terrorists had attacked an Army camp in Sunjwan area located on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
OneCRPF personnel has been killed during the encounter with terrorists in Srinagar's Karan Nagar area.
Earlier, security forces in J&K trackeddown two terrorists who tried to enter the CRPF camp in Srinagar on Monday morning.
Reports had indicated that the terrorists were carrying bags and AK-47 guns. The soldiers immediately opened fire as the terrorists fled the area asCRPF personnel prevented the terrorists from entering the camp.
As soon as the terrorists were located by the CRPFan encounter broke out near the camp at Karan Nagar.The 23 battalion of the CRPF nowengaged in the encounter with terrorists.
A CRPF jawan has beeninjured in the exchange of fire as the encounter continues.

Meanwhile, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman has left for Jammu to assess the security situation.
"The sentry at the camp noticed two suspicious persons at around 4.30 am, carrying backpacks and weapons. He challenged them and opened fire," a spokesman of the CRPF said.
The terrorists fled from the spot and took shelter in an under-construction house nearby, the officials said.
The building has been cordoned off by the CRPF.According to senior CRPF officials, there were two terrorists holed up inside the building.
Intermittent exchange of fire was reported and the CRPF moved in more troops to ensure that the terroristsdo not escape.
