Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi has beendischarged from the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital today. She had been sufferingfrom dengue and was admitted to the hospital on 23 August.

Her treatment was monitored by chest medicine consultant Arup Basu.

In a statement,DS Rana, Chairman (Board of Management) of SRGH said: "Priyanka Vadra had fever initially, later she was confirmed as suffering from dengue. She was brought to the hospital on 23 August evening."

Delhi has currently beenfacing a spike in detected dengue cases. So far, there are at least657 cases of dengue reported so far – with 325 patients from Delhi and 332 from other states.

Areas under South Delhi Municipal Corporation have reported the highest number of 64 cases, followed by 42 cases in areas of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
