A row erupted after visual artist and photographer Raihan Vadra, son of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, alleged that the management of the Rajasthan government-run Bikaner House in Delhi removed most of the photographs from his exhibition 'No Idea Is Final'. He claimed that he was asked to remove 75 of the 105 photographs from the show or face cancellation. The development folded after he took to social media on Wednesday (October 21, 2026) and shared a post. Raihan Vadra's exhibition featured wildlife photography, abstract art and pictures documenting recent protests and youth movements in India. In a post on Instagram, Vadra wrote, “Five hours ago, the Bikaner House Management forced me to remove the bulk of the artworks displayed in my show ‘No Idea Is Final’, which opens this evening at 7 p.m.. The photos were of the youth protests in Delhi. Apparently, the content is objectionable.”

He further claimed that the authorities had also instructed him to take down two photographs of the Tiranga, which he said he refused to do. The NEET paper leak protests intensified in New Delhi after fresh clashes erupted between protesters and police near Jantar Mantar. The CJP-led agitation has vowed to continue until the Education Minister resigns. Several police personnel were reportedly injured as protesters clashed with security forces. Activist Sonam Wangchuk has also outlined key demands, including justice for students, compensation for affected families, and accountability over the exam paper leak issue. Parliament remains deadlocked over the timing and format of the debate on the NEET controversy.

A new cyber scam is being probed in Kerala, in which Congress politicians from the south Indian state were contacted with offers of ministerial berths in exchange for payments of up to ₹3 crore (30 million rupees). The Kerala Cyber Police are investigating this online impersonation scam, according to reports in Mathrubhumi, SouthFirst and other media outlets.
Cyber scam for Cabinet berths: What really happened in Kerala?
Earlier this month, Vidya Balakrishnan, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Elathur constituency, received a WhatsApp call from a person posing as DS Rajkumar, the private secretary to Congress leader and Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Reports said the caller claimed that a Kerala Cabinet reshuffle was going to happen soon and offered Balakrishnan a ministerial position in exchange for money. The caller, who spoke in English, said that an MP from Kozhikode district had shared her contact details. Balakrishnan played along briefly before verifying the claim with Priyanka Gandhi. The reports said, Priyanka Gandhi sent a voice note of the real DS Rajkumar for comparison, which did not match the voice of the caller. Balakrishnan then filed a formal complaint with the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner.https://www.wionews.com/videos/interpol-cybercrime-crackdown-nabs-5-800-fraud-suspects-1783680156183/embed
Same fraudsters targeted other politicians
Police said that calls from the same number, 9540575524, were also made to Vadakara MP Shafi Parambil and Idukki MP Dean Kuriakose with similar offers. Kuriakose ended the call after becoming suspicious. On July 15, the Cyber Police in Wayanad registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on a complaint by Rajkumar, Priyanka Gandhi's private secretary, alleging that someone had impersonated him in an attempt to cheat elected representatives. Also read: How to spot a digital arrest scam before you lose money, 5 red flags you cannot miss | WION Decodes
Police action and investigation
Both Wayanad and Kozhikode police are probing the case. A special police team travelled to New Delhi after tracing the SIM card's registered address and location there. The case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections relating to cheating and personation, as well as Section 66D of the Information Technology Act, 2000, on cheating by personation using computer resources.
Mule SIM and spoofing: Police suspect an organised fraud
The call may have been made using a mule SIM, a mobile number registered in another person's name but controlled by fraudsters. Balakrishnan then filed a formal complaint with the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner. https://www.wionews.com/videos/interpol-cybercrime-crackdown-nabs-5-800-fraud-suspects-1783680156183/embed Same fraudsters targeted other politicians Police said that calls from the same number, 9540575524, were also made to Vadakara MP Shafi Parambil and Idukki MP Dean Kuriakose with similar offers.
India complicit in Gaza Genocide
India is Israel's second-largest merchandise trading partner in Asia, with $3.75 billion in bilateral trade for FY2025. India is the largest buyer of Israeli weapons in the period 2020-24, accounting for approximately 34 per cent of all arms exports of Israel. In FY2025, arms and ammunition, and parts purchased by India from Israel accounted for $135.96 million. Indian firms had supplied Israel with rockets and explosives since the beginning of the Israeli genocide. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday (December 8) brushed aside the ongoing parliamentary debate over the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ with a brief four-word comment: “Priyanka ka bhashan suno” (Listen to Priyanka's speech), urging members to listen to Priyanka Gandhi’s address instead. The discussion started after Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened a special debate in the Lok Sabha to mark 150 years of Vande Mataram. This comes weeks after the PM alleged that the Congress, during its 1937 Faizabad session, removed important stanzas of the song, calling the act one that “planted the seeds of partition” and divided a symbol of national pride. The Congress countered the claim, saying the decision followed advice from Rabindranath Tagore, and was meant to respect the sentiments of people from diverse religious communities. As the counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections is underway, the trends of the Election Commission of India show that the Congress party is in for yet another drubbing in the national capital.
The grand old party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years on the trot from 1998 to 2013 found itself staring at a fourth consecutive defeat. Once considered a party stronghold, the Congress has failed to win a seat in Delhi's last two assembly elections.

Congress's performance declined in 2013

Congress's decline in Delhi started in 2013 with the rise of the Aam Aadmi Party. In the assembly polls held in 2013, the electoral debut of AAP, the Congress number in the Delhi assembly was reduced to 8 seats from the earlier 43 seats.
In the 2015 and 2020 Delhi Assembly Elections, the Congress's performance further weakened as the party failed to open its account. Even a few seats in Delhi Electin 2025 would have meant an improvement for the party. But that didn't seem to be the case.

As the BJP is poised to form the government in Delhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday said that people of the national capital "voted for change" as they were "fed up with the way things were"
"They were fed up with the way things were and they wanted to change. I suppose they voted for change. My congratulations to all those who have won." "For the rest of us, it just means we have to work harder, stay there, be on the ground and be responsive to the people's issues," she said.

Ramesh Bidhuri, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate from Delhi's Kalkaji constituency, came under heavy criticism for his recent remarks on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena.
During a campaign event at Kalkaji for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, Bidhuri said, "Lalu [Prasad, RJD leader] had said that he will develop roads in Bihar as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks. Lalu had lied. But I assure you just as we made the roads in Okhla and Sangam Vihar, we will make all the roads in Kalkaji, Sudhar camp and inner and outer roads like Priyanka Gandhi's cheeks."

Bidhuri is a former two-time Lok Sabha MP from South Delhi.
He is also a Delhi High Court advocate by profession.
His comment triggered off a lot of attention and went viral on social media platforms.
According to a report on Hindustan Times newspaper, the Congress party candidate from the Kalkaji constituency, Alka Lamba, accused Bidhuri of "insulting" women using his "usual indecent language."
Lamba also demanded an apology from Bidhuri for the remarks against Gandhi.
She said, "Bidhuri ji should publicly apologise and the top leaders should clarify their opinion on this."
The BJP in a statement said that the party does not tolerate any type of disrespectful comments against women.
The party added that such remarks should not be made by any member or election candidate.
After facing criticism from his own party, Bidhuri issued a clarification.
In a post on X, he said, "What I said, I compared it with what was said earlier. When two people make mistake, both need to rectify. If Congress will rectify their mistake, the same will be done by us as well."
Bidhuri was referring to an old statement of Lalu Prasad Yadav against the actress and BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini.

'Centre insulted Manmohan Singh', Rahul Gandhi slams BJP over funeral site

New Delhi, India
Just days after Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi created controversy for carrying bags depicting Palestine and Bangladesh in Parliament, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Aparajita Sarangi on Friday (Dec 20) 'gifted' the Wayanad MP a bag with '1984' written on it.
The bag is in clear reference to the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 that claimed the lives of 2,730 people from the Sikh community while Congress was in power. A tragic stain on India's history. In 1984, the anti-Sikh riots broke out in Delhi after the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards.

Speaking to the press, BJP MP Sarangi said, the "honourable MP (Priyanka Gandhi) is very fond of bags, so I gifted her one. She was initially hesitant, but then she accepted it,".

Priyanka Gandhi's tote bags

On Monday (Dec 16), Gandhi stirred a major controversy by carrying a bag to the parliament featuring the word 'Palestine'. Just a day later, on Tuesday (Dec 17), she doubled down with another bag, that had a quote written on it: "Stand with Bangladeshi Hindus and Christians," a move aimed at drawing attention to atrocities committed against minorities in neighbouring Bangladesh since the ouster of ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vehemently criticised Priyanka for "prioritising foreign concerns over domestic issues."
"Was the bag a statement? Why has she kept mum on issues of Bangladeshi Hindus? It is a big question mark," a BJP leader was quoted as saying in the Indian media.

New Delhi, India
Congress MPs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Manish Tewari, Sukhdev Bhagat, and Randeep Singh Surjewala will be in the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for deliberations on the 'One Nation One Election' Bill, party sources said on Wednesday.
The bill, introduced in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, proposes simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and state assemblies across India. However, the proposal has faced strong resistance from opposition parties, who voiced concerns about its potential impact on democracy.
The opposition raised concerns that the change could disproportionately benefit the ruling party, giving it undue influence over the electoral process in states, and could undermine the autonomy of regional parties.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Manish Tewari in Joint Parliamentary Committee on 'One Nation One Election' bill

In a swipe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday said throwing youths into the war zone in Israel for "employment" is not an achievement but a matter of shame.

Her remarks came after the north Indian state's chief minister took a swipe at the Indian parliamentarian for carrying a handbag to parliament that had 'Palestine' emblazoned on it.

"Yesterday, a Congress leader was seen walking around Parliament carrying a Palestine bag, while we are sending our youth to Israel for opportunities," Adityanath said on the second day of the Winter Session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

"So far, more than 5,600 youth from Uttar Pradesh have gone to Israel for construction work. Every youth gets free food and accommodation besides a monthly salary of Rs 1.5 lakh (150,000) there. There is also full guarantee of safety."

Hitting back at Adityanath, Priyanka Gandhi said those who sent Uttar Pradesh's youths to war-torn Israel instead of providing them employment are calling it their achievement.

"They are neither aware of the unemployment situation in the state nor do they understand the pain of those youths and their families," she said.

According to reports, the youths who have gone to work in Israel are saving their lives by hiding in bunkers and the companies are exploiting them, she said in a post in Hindi.

"Their families are always scared. Our promising youths are forced to risk their lives for employment because you cannot provide employment," Priyanka Gandhi said. "Throwing our youths into the war zone for employment is not something to pat on the back but a matter of shame."

In his remarks, Adityanath said, "Recently, the ambassador of Israel visited Uttar Pradesh and said they want more youths from the state, as they are doing good work there. The world is now acknowledging the skills of our youths. When these youths send money home, they contribute to the development of the state. We should congratulate them."

On Tuesday, Congress' Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi was seen carrying a cream-coloured handbag to Parliament on which it was written "Bangladesh Ke Hindu Aur Isaiyon Ke Saath Khade Ho" (stand with the Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh).

Several Congress MPs led by Priyanka Gandhi also staged a protest on the Parliament premises demanding justice for Hindus and Christians facing atrocities in Bangladesh.

This came a day after she expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine by carrying a handbag with 'Palestine' emblazoned on it.

New Delhi, India
‘Bag politics’ is hot in India now, as opposition Member of Parliament (MP) from the Congress party, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday (Dec 16), stirred a major controversy by carrying a bag to the parliament featuring ‘Palestine’ word. On Tuesday, she had another quote written on her bag: “Stand with Bangladeshi Hindus and Christians," a move aimed at drawing attention to atrocities against minorities in neighbouring country since the ouster of ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Priyanka's bag politics has also inspired other opposition MPs to sport slogan-embedded accessories and stage protests in unison. Earlier on Monday, Priyanka raised the issues of minorities in Bangladesh in the lower house of the Indian Parliament, Lok Sabha. "The government should raise the issue of atrocities on minorities, both Hindus and Christians, in Bangladesh. We should discuss this with the Bangladesh government and support those who are in pain," she said.

Controversy over ‘Palestine bag’

Meanwhile, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vehemently criticised Priyanka for “prioritising foreign concerns over domestic issues.” "Was the bag a statement?
