Pakistan-made items recovered from terrorists killed in Kathua attack

Pakistan-made items were found from the possession of two slain terrorists who attacked a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Tuesday (June 11).

The local authorities said thatthree magazines with 30 rounds were found from the terrorists. They also found three live grenades. The terrorists also had ₹500 notes worth ₹1 lakh ($1,197). They possessed Pakistan-made chocolates, dry chenna and stale chapatis.

The terrorists, who killed a CRPF soldier during the encounter, also had Pakistan-made medicines and painkiller injections, along with two packs of A4 battery cells, a handset with an antenna, and two wires dangling from it.

Terrorists struck at four places in Reasi, Kathua and Doda districts over the past four days, killing nine pilgrims and a CRPF jawan and leaving seven security personnel and several others injured.

On Sunday, a terror attacktargeted a bus carrying 53 pilgrims from a shrine in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. Ten people were killed in the attack.

A fourth terror attack in India's Jammu and Kashmir in three days was reported on Wednesday (June 12).

Terrorists opened fire on Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Tantna Gandow of the Doda district.

"Two terrorists were killed, and a search operation is underway in the area," ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain told reporters on Wednesday (June 12).

"There are chances that more terrorists are hiding in the area as the search operation is still underway and we have cordoned off the area. More details on the incident will be conveyed later," he added, reported PTI.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina on Wednesday paid a visit to the families of the bus driver and conductor who were killed in the terrorist attack in Reasi district.

Praising the driver and the conductor, Raina said, "The bus driver Vijay Kumar, showed great courage and lost his life to save many. Similarly, Arun Ji, the bus conductor from the Katra region, also lost his life. They acted bravely and foiled the terrorists' major conspiracy. I came here to express my condolences to their families. The whole country and Jammu & Kashmir are with them."

Police release sketches of 4 terrorists

Jammu and Kashmir Police hasreleased sketches of four terrorists involved in terror activities in the Doda district and announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh ($5,985)for information on each of the terrorists.

The terrorists are believed to be hiding in "upper reaches of Bhaderwah, Thathri, Gandoh and carrying out terror-related activities," according to a police spokesperson.

Earlier on Tuesday night, police released a sketch of a terrorist involved in the attack on a passenger bus in the Reasi district and announced aRs 20 lakh ($23,940) reward for any information on him.
