Bhavesh Bhinde, who isthe head of Ego Media Private Limited, owned thehoardingwhich collapsed in India's Mumbai amid a storm and claimed at least 16 lives.
The company was responsible forthe installation ofthehugehoarding inMumbai'sGhatkopar area.The police have filed a case against him after the incident. Bhavesh Bhinde had faced an accusationof rape in January this yearanda case was registeredagainst him at the Mulund Police Station.
The police have now filed another FIR against Bhavesh Bhindealongwith others forculpable homicide not amounting to murder at Pant Nagar police station.

Bhavesh Bhindewas accusedof rape in Januaryandthe police had registered a case against him at the Mulund Police Station. The police had also filed a chargesheet.
According to a report published by NDTV, Bhavesh Bhinde had secured various contracts from the Indian Railways and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to install banners and billboards through the years.
Bhinde, however, allegedlybreached the regulations of the two entities multiple times.Bhinde, along withother associates in his company,has been implicated in caseswhich involvedtree poisoning and tree cutting.
Bhavesh Bhinde had also contested the Maharashtra legislative assembly election in 2009 from Mulund as an Independent candidate but failed to win.
As per an affidavit filed by Bhinde while contesting the polls, he had declared 23 criminal cases against him.

Bhinde had earlier managed a company called Guju Ads.This company was subsequentlyblacklistedby the BMC because of multiple legal issues.
Even after theblacklisting, Bhinde started Ego Media Pvt Ltd and continued securing contracts for billboards and hoardings.
The illegal hoarding,whichwasinstalledon the land owned by the Government Railway Police (GRP), fell over a petrol pump in the Chheda Nagar area amid dust storms and rains in the city.
According to the officials, the search and rescue operation was carried out at thesite of the collapsefor 30 hours on Tuesday (May 14) and is likely to continue for some more hours.
