Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha Elections Result 2024

Voting for the Indian general elections 2024, which lasted for over six weeks, concluded on Saturday (Jun 1) with exit polls giving a clear mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, the nation is waiting for some results keenly, including that of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

This was the first general election in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 and the division of the state into two union territories - J&K and Ladakh.

J&K recorded the highest voter turnout in a Lok Sabha poll in the last 35 years. The Kashmir Valley witnessed a huge 30-point jump in poll participation compared to 2019.

He also said that the combined voter turnout at the polling stations for the entire Union Territory with five Lok Sabha seats was 58.46 per cent.
