One terrorist has been killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Verinag area of Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning, news agency ANI reported.
A search operation has been launched, more details are awaited.
This comes a day after terrorists hurled a grenade at a police station in Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday.
While two policemen were reported as injured, no loss of life was reported.

Earlier on Friday, four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, including special police officers who had deserted the force recently, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district.
The security forces also recovered 3 AK rifles from the slain terrorists.
