A group of friends of six people died in a horrific car accident in the Indian state of Uttarakhand's Dehradun on Tuesday (Nov 12) after their car collided with a truck.

In the video of the incident, which has been going viral, it was seen that the impact of the collision was so strong that it tore off the Toyota Innova's roof and twisted it.

Following the collision, two passengers were reportedly decapitated. Meanwhile, one of the victim's head was ripped off and another person's body was seen twisted inside the crushed car, according to the video.

Moreover, several other body parts of the victims were also seen scattered around the road.

After the collision,the truck driver involved in the accidentfled the scene immediately, leaving the vehicle behind.

The victims were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19).

The group of seven friends were returning from a party that night, and were drunkon alcohol, according to media reports.

However, the police have yet to confirm whether they were intoxicated.

The seventh person is Siddhesh Agrawal, who reportedly was the host of the party in Dehradun and is the sole survivor. However, he is severely injured, according to the police.

The police further said that it was not immediately clear where the group was coming from, adding that the investigation had started.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief at the loss of lives in the accident.

"The news of the death of six youths in a road accident in Dehradun is extremely heart-rending. I pray to God to grant the departed souls a place at his sacred feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear the immense pain," he said.
