Renowned multilingual actor Prakash Raj has sent a legal notice to Mysuru MP Pratap Simha for trolling him after he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ''being a bigger actor than him'' for not speaking on the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh.
''I have sent a legal notice to Mr. Pratap Simha (BJP Mysuru MP), as a citizen of this country for the way he has trolled me which has disturbed my personal life. I am asking him to answer legally & if he doesn't, I will be taking criminal action against him,'' the actor said.
The actor had earlier called Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a bigger actor than himself and had condemned his silence over journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh’s murder. Responding to Rai’s statement, MP Pratap Simha had said what could the Prime Minister do if the law and order failed in the state.
Earlier the BJP leader had said that Prakash Rai was Gauri's friend and added where was he when more than 12 members of pro-Hindu organisations were brutally killed? When he goes to Tamil Nadu, he becomes Prakash Raj and in Karnataka, he is Prakash Rai. What would he get with this duality? Having concern for the state, he had then said and added that the actor did not speak a word during Cauvery dispute. While speaking about the likes of Modi, he should be cautious,” the MP added.
