The counting of votes for Lok Sabha polls is underway across 542 constituencies and as per the early trends, the National Democratic Alliance is leading in majority of the seats.

The news for Congress, however, is not good as many notable names are trailing. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress candidate Nakul Nath is leading the race for the Chhindwara constituency. 

But Digvijaya Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kantilal Bhuria, Arun Yadav and Meenakshi Natarajan are trailing from their respective Lok Sabha seats.

At the end of the second round of counting, Nakul Nath was ahead of his BJP rival Nathansaha Kawreti from the Chhindwara parliamentary constituency by 5,000 votes. 

In Haryana, BJP was leading in all the 10 seats in Haryana as per early trends available with the Election Commission.

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda of the Congress was trailing in Sonipat.

Hooda, a sitting MLA from Rohtak district who contested the Lok Sabha polls after a gap of 14 years, was trailing behind sitting MP Ramesh Chander Kaushik. 

The former CM's son and sitting MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda, who was earlier leading over his nearest BJP rival Arvind Sharma from Rohtak, was trailing in later rounds of counting.
