'India wins yet again,' tweets Prime Minister Modi as BJP exhibits leads on 300-plus seats, gears for Parliamentary win

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday took to microblogging site Twitter and posted about the landslide leads the Bharatiya Janata Party exhibited on the day of Lok Sabha counting today. 

"Sabka sath + sabka vikas + sabka vishwas = vijayi bharat," the prime minister tweeted. "India wins yet again," his tweet read.

PM Modi stated that collective development and people's trust has led to the victory of the nation in the win of the party. 

"Together we grow. Together we prosper. Together we will build a strong and inclusive India. India wins yet again!"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led-BJP appeared set for a resounding comeback on Thursday with leads over 300 seats while the Congress trailed far behind with 90, as the counting of the votes polled in India's 17 Lok Sabha election was underway.

Senior leader and Home Minister Rajnath Singh termed the early trends "historic" and credited it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "astute" leadership and party chief Amit Shah's "dynamism".

In a series of tweets, Singh said the people of India have once again given a decisive mandate to the BJP-led NDA and reposed their faith in Modi's leadership and vision of New India.

Party's spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain described the party's excellent performance as "the victory of the developmental work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the defeat of negative politics."
