Manchester, UK

Manchester United home Old Trafford depicted its team's conditions perfectly after rain wreaked havoc on the stadium following 1-0 loss against Arsenal on Sunday (May 12). The facility, after the 41 mm rainfall, had a waterfall during the rain, thanks to a leak in the roof between the East stand and the Sir Alex Ferguson stand.

The conditions gave all the more reason to back new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliff's keenness to develop the stadium. Several videos shared on social media showed the waterfall at Old Trafford and water cascading underneath the seats along with leaking roofs inside the facility as well. ESPN, citing sources, said that all the attendees of the game against Arsenal had left by the time stadium started to leak. Notably, a committee has already been set up to revamp the stadium. Ratcliff, who bought 27.7% stake in the club in February, met with the members. The taskforce includes Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, Sara Todd, Chief Executive of Trafford Council, and former Manchester United captain Gary Neville. It is being led by Lord Sebastian Coe, former chairman of the 2012 London Olympics organising committee.
