Chelsea to pay tribute to Indian YouTuber 'Angry Rantman' at Stamford Bridge during Premier League match

Angry Rantman aka Abhradeep Saha has died at the age of 27

Chelsea will be paying tribute toAbhradeep Saha aka Angry Rantman at Stamford Bridge during the Premier League match against West Ham Unitedon Sunday (May 5).Saha, a Chelsea supporter from India who went viral for his video monologue, recently died due to complicationstriggered by a surgery he underwent in March.

Tom Overend, a Chelsea supporter, closely associated with the club informed that Saha will be in the matchday programmeand that there will be a tribute announcement at half-time.

"I am extremely grateful to Chelsea Football Club for making this happen. They have been outstanding in helping to facilitate this tribute, and I cannot thank them enough," wrote Overend.

Overend had been in touch with Saha's family after his death and took their permission before approaching the club to organise the tribute ceremony.

What happened to Angry Rantman?

Saha was admitted to the Narayana Cardiac Hospital in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru, according to multiple reports. Due to health complications, he underwent open heart surgery but soon suffered multiple organ failure and was kept on a life support system.

However, on April 17, Saha succumbed to the complications,leading to an outpouring of tributary posts and condolence messages. From fan pages to Indian clubs to football experts, the tributes poured from everywhere.

Who was Angry Rantman?

Saha gained overnight popularity for his video where he went ballistic after Chelsea lost a match of football.His "There is no passion, there is no vision" rant became a catchphrase and millions of football fans routinely use the meme template whenever their respective teams underperform.

After gaining prominence through the video, Saha became a full-time content creator and posted rants and analyses on sports, cinema and more.

At the time of his death, Saha's 'Angry Rantman' persona had amassed over 129k followers on Instagram and more than 489k subscribers on YouTube.
