Jennifer Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck are parting ways. If there is one thing to blame for the divorce, it is Affleck's ''unpredictable moods.''

As per the recent report by People, a source has revealed that The Batman star's mood has played a ''central role'' in his and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce.

A source has told the publication that despite having feelings toward each other, the 52-year-old actor’s extreme and sudden changes in mood ultimately drove a wedge between them.

The source has revealed that the couple tried to make things work, but the source says his ''fluctuating mood'' made things difficult.

"The truth is there was a great deal of love but also unfortunately what became clear were Ben's erratic mood swings that he couldn't hide from the press, as much as he tried to,” the source added.

"You could see the erratic behaviour, the giant mood swings,” the source added.

Describing the actor's behaviour, the source said that he would go from “being incredibly happy and warm — the best light that emanated from him” to exhibiting “the deepest, darkest behaviour.”

“I think he was signalling a message to the press,” the source adds. “But yet participating."

Jennifer filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug 20, which would have been the second anniversary of her and Affleck's Georgia wedding. In her filing, Lopez stated "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, as the date of separation. The former couple hasnot yet shared any public statement on their divorce.

As per the court documents obtained by People, the 55-year-old singer has requested to restore her former maiden name, i.e., Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Separation rumours began in May when it was reported the couple were no longer living together in their Beverly Hills mansion. Now, the house is listed for sale.

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in 2021 after almost two decades of breakup.
