Jennifer Lopez's first Instagram post since divorce announcement goes viral

Jennifer Lopez has made her return to social media after filing for divorce from her husband and actor Ben Affleck. The Atlas star, 55, surprised fans by reposting a selfie from a fan page to her Instagram Stories on Friday (August 23). The picture, with a festive touch, is the first post Lopez has shared since the news of her divorce broke earlier this week.
In the image, Lopez is seen with voluminous blonde hair, posing for a sultry selfie while dressed in a cosy blush two-piece. In the back, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree surrounded by gift boxes added a warm holiday feel to the snap. A clothing wardrobe rack is also visible in the frame.
Some fans suggested in the comments that the selfie appears to be from a glam session in December 2020. Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton had previously described a similar look from that session as "Deluxe Glam Barbie."
Lopez's social media post comes just days after she filed for divorce from Affleck, citing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents obtained by People, the couple officially separated on April 26, though the filing was not made until Tuesday, August 20.

The couple had spent much of the summer apart, fueling speculation about the state of their relationship. Just last week, Lopez was seen leaving Affleck's rental home in Brentwood, California, as the actor celebrated his 52nd birthday on August 15.
