Priyanka Chopra becomes the first Indian woman to feature on the cover of Vogue America

This definitely has Priyanka Chopra's year. Not just on the personal front but also on the professional front, Chopra has scaled heights.  Her show 'Quantico' may have wrapped up this year, but the actress also signed two new projects in Hollywood- one of which is set for January release. Now days ahead of her grand wedding to Nick Jonas in Jodhpur, the actress has appeared on the cover of Vogue America. 

Priyanka is the first Indian woman to be featured on the cover of the fashion magazine which focuses on her and Nick's love story. The couple opens up for the first time about how they met, their first date and give details on their wedding.

Zara Rahim, the former director of communications at Vogue, congratulated the actress on her cover on Twitter, writing "Believe it or not, from what I know, @priyankachopra is the first Indian woman to grace the cover of American Vogue. This is long overdue, and so well deserved." 

Chopra who is the most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram may be having a lavish wedding at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur, but she has ensured that wedding photos and videos are not leaked on social media. The wedding has a strict no-mobile policy so we will have to wait for Priyanka and Nick to officially post pictures just like Deepika and Ranveer did.
