Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are engaged: Reports

She is taken, guys! Just hours after Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed that Priyanka Chopra has opted out his film 'Bharat' co-starring Salman Khan, comes the news that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are indeed engaged! Yes, you read that right. 

According to People magazine, the two got engaged on Priyanka's 36th birthday in London last week. 

Sources close to the couple have revealed that Jonas bought her an engagement ring from Tiffany store in New York City.

“They are so happy,” the source was quoted as saying by the magazine.

While there hasn't been any official confirmation on the news yet, sources reveal that Jonas is 'very, very happy.'

“His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her,” the source said.

Rumours of the two getting hitched have been doing the rounds for some time. But a cryptic tweet by Ali Abbas Zafar on Friday morning sort of confirmed the news. Zafar tweeted, " Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life (sic)"

The two started dating in May and even visited India in June where Priyanka introduced him to her mother Madhu and even went on a vacation to Goa with her brother Siddharth and and cousin Parineeti Chopra. 

In an interview earlier in July, Priyanka had commented on their India trip and said, "We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him.” 

The couple was spotted on a double date in London with Nick's brother Joe and his fiancee, 'Game Of Thrones' star Sophie Turner a night before Priyanka's birthday.
