Speaking with The Sun, Kidman said that she needed to take breaks while the cameras were still rolling. "There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to [imitate] orgasm any more,'” the 57-year-old actress told the publication.

“Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!”

The R-rated movie also stars Antonio Banderas (64) as her husband and Harrison Dickinson (28) as her young lover. Kidman plays a high-powered CEO in Babygirl who has an affair with Dickinson's character.

The actress said that she got extremely invested in filming the sex scenes and was "so present all the time". Kidman says giving them so much made her “almost burnout” andshe got pushed to a point where she was "over it".

However, she admits that there was “an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration” between her and her co-stars. Kidman says they she, Harrison and Banderas were all "very, very gentle with each other and helped each other".

“I’m a huge believer still in the sacredness of the set or the actors’ space, and it never, never being violated,” she explained. “Because it’s ours, it’s the bubble, and then there’s the world outside.”

Nicole Kidman says the script turned her on

Having a female director, Halina Reijn made things easy, she said, and it did not feel like she was being "exploited".

“I don’t think I could have done it, working with a man,” Kidman said. “I actually think the only way I could do this was with her because the two of us would sit and talk.”

“Being in the hands of Halina I knew she wasn’t going to exploit me. … I felt very much a part of it."

Kidman recalled reading the script and that she found it "funny" but also felt "turned on by it” and “sort of hypnotised".
