Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, is facing serious criticism for making an offensive comment during a TikTok Live session with his wife on Friday night. The comment has upset many of Minaj’s fans, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community.

The session started with Nicki, 41, encouraging her fans to stay positive. However, things took a negative turn when Petty added, “That’s right, especially little f***s or f**k boys,” while smiling. This remark quickly sparked outrage online.

Fans were quick to express their disappointment. Some fans criticized Minaj for not speaking out against her husband’s comment, pointing out that this wasn’t the first time he had made such remarks in her presence.

“It’s giving the popular girl who says she’s for the gays but let her boyfriend say slurs while she laughs,” a fan quipped. “This is crazy, especially knowing 90% of her fans are gay men,” another user pointed out.

“This is the second time he has said this around her and she didn’t correct him. Her fandom is mostly gay men smh,” wrote a third disappointed user.

In addition to the current controversy, Petty’s past legal troubles have also resurfaced in discussions. Recently, in September 2023, he was sentenced to home detention for threatening rapper Offset on social media. Petty’s criminal record includes a conviction for attempted rape in 1995 and a manslaughter charge in 2002, for which he served several years in prison.

Nicki Minaj has stood by her husband despite his troubled past, describing their strong bond in a December 2023 interview. The couple reconnected in 2018 after knowing each other since high school and welcomed their first child, a son nicknamed Papa Bear, in 2020.

As of now, neither Nicki Minaj nor her representatives have responded to the criticism.
