Prince William is all set to feature in a two-part ITV documentary series to give a glimpse of one of his most ambitious initiatives, the Homewards Program. The documentary featuring the Prince of Wales will air on ITV1 and ITVX this fall.
Titled Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, the documentary will follow William as he launches the program in the UK in the first year of the five-year initiative. He will be speaking to homeless people and will bring their stories to the fore.
He will be seen travelling across Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland, and Sheffield with advocates and project leaders to combat homelessness and help people in need.
BAFTA award-winning director Leo Burley will be at the helm of the project. In an official statement, he said, "Over the past year we have spent time following Prince William and The Royal Foundation through the first year of the Homewards program. We’ve heard some incredibly moving stories from people across the country facing homelessness."
The director added, "From street homelessness in Newport, to families living in temporary accommodation in Sheffield, and youth homelessness in Aberdeen, the documentary paints a picture of homelessness across the UK today, working with many people who never expected to experience life without a place to call home. Everyone we’ve filmed with has welcomed the spotlight that Prince William and Homewards are placing on the UK’s homelessness crisis."
