Vice President Kamala Harris made history as she sashayed into the werkroom of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars this week. She is the first sitting Vice President to grace the iconic stage. Her message? A rallying cry for voter registration and a fierce stand for LGBTQ+ rights.
"Every day, we see our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right to be who we are and love who we love openly and with pride," Harris, 59, said in the promo, released on Thursday. "So as we fight back against these attacks, let’s all remember, no one is alone."
The segment, scheduled to air at the beginning of the season nine finale on Friday, saw Harris flanked by RuPaul judges Michelle Visage and Jamal Sims, along with LGBTQ+ icons Lance Bass, Leslie Jones, and Cheyenne Jackson.
"We are all in this together," Harris added. "Your vote is your power. Make sure your voice is heard this November and register to vote at vote.gov."
Jackson then added, “Can I get an amen?!” To which, Jones replied, “You betta vote!” before the group of six broke out in dance.

The minute-long promo clip got mixed reactions on social media. While some praised Harris for the surprise appearance, a few called it "cringe".
"She knows her audience," one user commented, while another hailed the moment as "herstory."
A third comment read, "Ugh, what's the meaning of this? Cringe." "This might have broken the cringe o meter. Wow," wrote a fourth user.
The promo comes just days after President Joe Biden endorsed her for the Democratic nomination following his decision not to run in the 2024 election.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars, which brings back fan-favourite queens for a high-stakes competition, will conclude its ninth season with contestants vying not only for a place in the Drag Race Hall of Fame but also for a $200,000 charity donation.
