All the die-hard fans of the corrupt world of Gotham City are eagerly awaiting Colin Farrell's series The Penguin. However, they are also curious about whether Robert Pattinson will reprise his role of Batman in the upcoming series. Sadly, the answer is no.
Pattinson will not appear in the upcoming show based on Farrell's character. However, the makers have explained why Pattinson's Batman will not appear in the show.
Speaking to SFX magazine, showrunner Lauren LeFranc confirmed that he will not appear in the show, explaining the reason why.
“I understand why people’s desire would be to have Batman, or to think that unless Batman’s in a show or a film, then it doesn’t have the same punch,” he told SFX.
“To me, I think it packs a different punch. Matt [Reeves, The Batman director]’s films are through the lens of the Batman, so you’re high up, looking down on the city. It’s a different perspective.”

The Batman spinoff series on Penguin will focus on Colin Farrell's role as Oswald Cobblepot, the famous Gotham City gangster.
The movie's synopsis reads, as per Screenrant, ''Set shortly after the events of The Batman, Oz Cobb, A.K.A. the Penguin, begins his rise in the underworld of Gotham City as he contends with the daughter of his late boss, Carmine Falcone, for control of the crime family's empire.''
The Penguin is set to premiere on HBO and Max on Sept. 19.
