These are some of the new details emerging about the jail time of the hip hop maverick awaiting trial on federal charges ranging from racketeering and sex trafficking, even as more survivors are coming out about with claims of rape and sexual abuse.
The New York Times reported that Combs "is sleeping in the same dormitory-style room" as Bankman-Fried at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
He has been held there for nearly a week, having been denied bail.
Bankman-Fried, the founder of the crypto exchange FTX is serving a 25-year sentence for diverting billions of dollars in investor money for personal spending, capital investments and for making political donations.
Combs' children are shocked at the situation he is in, according to a report in People magazine that cited insiders.
The 54-year-old rapper-producer has seven kids from four different women.
Sources told the magazine that he spoke briefly to family members and his children through telephone, and“is very concerned” about his children's well-being.
“He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available...Four of his seven children have neither parent available,” it quoted one source as saying.

While his eldest son Quincy - who he had adopted- is 33 years old, his youngest daughter, Love, is only 23 months.
The children are “in a state of crisis and shock” about Combs' situation, the magazine quoted one source as saying.
It's heartbreaking to see the state of his kids, a source said. “This is their father. But to them, he's not Diddy — he's Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father.”
A former inmate of the prison has claimed that Combs may be avoiding food in the jail, possibly due to fear of being posioned.
The inmate, Larry Levine, was quoted by the website News Nation as saying that Combsmay be paranoid and scared, or on hunger strike or just avoiding "bad food”.
“There are people out there that he has things on that do have a substantial amount of money," News Nation quoted him as saying.
"Imagine if someone paid someone off on the inside to actually poison his food, give him a heart attack, and he dies, and no one would really think anything of it. So that may be one of the reasons he’s not eating.” he said.
