Josh Brolin will not reprise the role of Cable in Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool and Wolverine is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. While we are more excited to see two superheroes on the big screen together, the one disappointing news that has come to light is that actor Josh Brolin is not part of the third film.

Brolin, who played the role of Cable in thesecondinstalment of the franchise, will not be reprising the villainous role in the upcoming movie.

Sharing the disheartening news, Broling said he wasexcited to play the role again. However, he didn't receive any calls from the Marvel Studios.

Speaking to The Playlist, Brolin dropped the major bomb.

“Am I? Yeeeesssss! I so wanted to be in that movie,” Josh laughingly said.

Talking about Marvel studios, the actor said, “[Marvel] is a more complex labyrinth than Outer Range will ever be, my friend.''

He added, ''And I will never know where that went or what that is or what I’m involved with or what I’m not involved with — the MCU being involved now. The cable was a lot of fun. I really liked doing that role. That was a lot of fun.”

Further speaking, the actor praised Ryan, who plays the foul-mouthedWade Wilson in the movie, and Hugh Jackman, who is returning to play his iconic role of Wolverine.

''Hugh, I’m absolutely in love with I know Ryan [Reynolds] now, and I’ve met Hugh a couple of times, and I think when he did Logan—forget it! I mean, Scott Frank, who wrote it, is a good friend of mine and I just think the coming together is just fantastic. And Hugh, I don’t know how old Hugh is now—is he 56, 57? I mean, seriously, the dude doesn’t age. So, yeah. I’m a big fan of his,'' Brolin said.

However, there is still a possibility that Brolin is keeping it a secret and we might see a big surprise on the release date.

Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie also stars The Crown actor Emma Corrin, while Jennifer Garner will reprise her role of Elektra from Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005). Morenna Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand as Vanessa and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, respectively will reprise their roles.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theatres on July 26.
