<p>During their interview with IndieWire, the writers shared that Downey, 59, was about to make an appearance in <em>Deadpool &amp; Wolverine</em>'s opening scene alongside Jon Favreau's character Happy Hogan.</p>

<p>"We had wanted him to do a cameo. We had written that scene [to start] with Happy and Downey," Wernick said</p>

<p>“Also, let's preface it with the fact that they don't license — Madonna doesn't just license the song, and particularly that song has not been licensed,” Reynolds said.</p>
